Sad to say it failed to cool the room anymore that 3 degrees than the current temperature. This was a waste of time to set up and electricity after letting it run for hours hoping it would kick in with time. Don't bother.

Posted .I hate to hear about your cooling experience, DLO11. I understand that you purchased the unit that's bigger than the size intended. Often times if the unit is too large for a space, it will trick the thermostat into thinking the room is cool enough when in reality it is bouncing the air off of nearby walls/items and making the unit turn off prematurely. I recommend using a unit for the correct size of your room for the best cooling performance. Has 2 drain spots with different size hoses needed depending on how you use the unit. Have unit elevated on small/low platform and have drain pan underneath for best draining ability. Wound up getting my carpet wet. Not nice

Poor installation to the window
