However i saw one from another brand and it was very cold. Disappointed with this brand...used to be a good brand name...ohhh those good all days!

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this for my daughter for her tiny house (she is a full time college student and works full time and I wanted her to be comfortable and cool when she's at her home). Window units were not an option, so I was thinking portable meant convenient and movable. HA! It has to be vented which means it's basically on a short leash with not much flexibility. Only the leash is a giant huge industrial looking thing. Takes up a lot of space in her tiny house, and is basically just blowing air straight up and not around. So for this to work we'll need to buy a fan too (remember - tiny house). I trusted the Frigidaire brand name, but should have researched this more carefully, and had my daughter and husband look at it live in person before purchasing online. I told my daughter we should return it if she's not happy with it, and exchange it for something that will work better. I sure hope the Best Buy return / exchange policy backs me up on that.

Posted .I can imagine your concern, Kelvin! Please be sure you have the appliance properly vented outside. Once installed properly, be sure to use the cool mode with a high fan speed for the best cooling performance. It may take a few hours to cool the room down if the room temperature is high. Hard to put together

The hose was difficult to attach to the window piece and had to duck tape it to the frame . Went on the website to look for ideas and there was nothing to help us with it. Not a good product.

If I were to own this AC unit, I would have a hose on both drain outlets. I would have the AC Unit elevated 6-12 inches or more if desired and a large drain pan to drain into.

it works but just doesn't cool enough

I was hoping it would be as impressive and useful as one in the window but I just don't think that's the case here.

Posted .Thanks for the feedback, Peewee. For best cooling performance, make sure the appliance is properly vented outside and try using a high fan speed with cool mode. You may notice a little less effectiveness because the cool air from your A/C unit will simply escape through the garage door or uninsulated walls and the temperature will only stay at a comfortable level for a very short period of time. It did not cool off our very small bedroom, and leaked water all over the carpet. I had a small hose hooked up to both drain outlets and it still leaked water on the floor. Would definitely not recommend to anyone.

Don’t waste your money!!
