Posted .Hi, Brycet812! I hate to hear that your appliance is leaking. This model actually recirculates the condensate, so you shouldn't have to drain it. Be sure the bottom drain outlet and the continuous drain outlet covers are tightly screwed on to prevent any leaks. ~ Brandi

Posted .Joeshmoe, thank you for your review. If the room temperature is very high, the air exiting the unit may not feel cold. Air exiting the unit is usually between 17°-20°F lower than the Intake air, and may not feel cold to the touch until the room temperature is reduced. Ensure that all windows and curtains are closed to reduce the amount of heat that enters the environment. It is also best if you have ceiling fans or additional AC units running at the same time to help cool the environment together –and not rely on just one unit. It is HORRIBLE. It does not cool my tiny NYC bedroom. I cannot believe that they are charging what they charge for this. It is the most inefficient piece of junk I’ve ever owned. I wake up sweating- STILL. I’ll have to see what can be done about this with my local Best Buy. This is unacceptable.

At first I taught is because of the extreme heat, but then it started to cold just a little then you hear when the compressor and the fan that pushes out the hot air would stop..

You are also able to clean your air vents with the following instructions. Combine 1/2 cup white vinegar with 2 cups hot water in a large bowl and apply the mixture with a cloth, onto the vents without getting the electrical components saturated or allowing the mixture drip through the vents. In researching, we were able to locate the Use and Care Guide, which you are able to view with the following link ftp://ftp.electrolux-na.com/ProdInfo_PDF/Edison/13326001006995en.pdf. On pages 5-6, it advises of using the exhaust hose along with the other accessories included for proper installation. If you are missing any of the installation kit for this model, we do recommend contacting your retailer directly at your convenience. -CiCi

For optimal performance, selecting the correct sized air conditioner for the room’s square footage is essential for efficient cooling, and larger is not always better. For a room size of 192 square feet, you may need a 6,000 btu air conditioner.
