I mean... it works...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.At this moment, it’s set to 60 degrees, on cool, and on high. It’s 82 in my bedroom. This was supposed to perform better than my unit that I bought last year that burnt out, but so far it’s not. At no point has my bedroom felt cool unless the temperature outside was already fairly nice. It’s not. I’ve tried turning it off for an hour, I’ve tried unplugging and plugging it back in. It’s honestly a really big disappointment. I should have gotten another insignia, but they didn’t have any in the store and we’ve been experiencing heat adviseries and I wasn’t excited at the thought of being in and leaving my dog in +100 degree weather during that. My advice: try something else.

Don't Buy This Product!

It's difficult to install, as it required to to cut plastic - THICK plastic that I would need a saw to get through - in order to install it to your window. If you live in an apartment, it is unlikely that you have this in your apartment. It is incredibly difficult to attach to the window and the instructions are not great. It blows air, but even when set at 60 degrees, its really just air. Its not cold, air conditioned air and its certainly not cooling down my living room. It's simply blowing the air around in front of the machine. I almost feel like it would be better to have the machine off and have the doors and windows open than attempt to cool a room with this. Extremely disappointed with the quality of this machine. I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone.

Once installed properly, be sure to use the cool mode with a high fan speed for the best cooling performance. It may take a few hours to cool the room down if the room temperature is high. Your worst nightmare
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Specifically purchased the Frigidaire model as it was a replacement for our Frigidaire window unit that we’ve had for 6 years (work horse). The unit was bought to cool our upstairs that gets a little warm (roughly 225 square feet). I followed the directions to a T per installation & application, even watched YouTube reviews and I am more than just extremely disappointed. This device has been running non stop for 5 hours set at 60 degrees and I couldn’t get it to drop the temperature period. Our 5k BTU window unit thats 6 years old (rusted completely out) would cool the space within 2-3 hours. I’ve been in and around retail, manufacturer sales, marketing & IT and have never been more dissatisfied with a product. I am returning the unit within a 24 hr period and expect to hear from the manufacturer & or Best Buy. It’s extremely frustrating and overwhelming on how disappointed I am.

I have had the same experiences that trend in all the other negative reviews. It is either poorly engineered or poor quality control. It has one job and failed. 1. I have an 11' x 17' room or 187 SF. The unit is set at 60F and High Fan. It is currently 82F outside and 76F in the room. It has been on for three days. Completely unacceptable. 2. This unit smells. I have had this for a month and it still smell horrible. I have ASE Certification in Automotive AC. I understand AC Theory. The evaporator coil is behind the upper filter and reads roughly 70F. It should be in the 40s. I might file a warranty claim. Too many negative reviews with the same complaints. That means you a rolling the dice.

Cools a Room Fast

Just cool down its surroundings

My apt is less than 300 sqft I have it run for hours but it cannot get lower than 77 F. It was not able to cool down only the bedroom, let alone the whole apt. I am going to give it another try for few more days, but if it cannot satisfy me I am going to return it.

Unimpressed

I was tired of how unsightly my window unit was in my window and thought that a standing unit would look more attractive in my home. It does. However, I'm not impressed with the cooling ability for the price. I had a 45$ window unit do a better job. I'm using it to cool a 10X12 room and it isn't cold enough. For 315 dollars I think you'd be better off by a high BTU window unit. The hose is awkward too. It is made of plastic instead of a material which means it's not maleable. Also, the unit is large. Be aware that you can't have a night stand or anything next to the window because there won't be enough room. Considering the price, the size and the cooling ability I'd look elsewhere.

I have it running on the coldest setting and it barely cools my room from 85 degrees down to a whopping 84 degrees. Im going to switch it out and get another brand. I'm angry that I have to lug this 75 pound huge thing back down to bestbuy for a return.

Do not buy this machine!

It is a fan with cool air and really is not worth the money. It does not condition the room, it blows cool air and this is in a small bedroom! Do not waste your money!

Posted .I hate to hear about your cooling experience, Kehaoran. I recommend adjusting the temperature to the coldest setting and on high fan speed. If the room temperature is very high, the air exiting the unit may not feel cold. Air exiting the unit is usually between 17°-20°F lower than the Intake air, and may not feel cold to the touch until the room temperature is reduced. Also, ensure that all windows and curtains are closed to reduce the amount of heat that enters the environment. I hope this information is helpful. Worst Portable AC I ever buy
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This portable AC was not cool in my room at all com pare to my AC window which is just 5000BTU that keep my room really cool but not this Portable AC. I turn it on almost 2 hours but nothing happen. It is cold when you face it or be around the machine. I think I will return it this week. I don’t recommend this product for sure.

Went and purchased another one and it still doesn't cool a small room. I should have known better and bought a different brand. Look elsewhere, this brand is crap!

Garbage

I have 2 other portables in the house and those areas are freezing (it's currently 100 degrees out) for the price of this unit and brand I expected better. It’s going back this week.
