Me and my wife love this unit, installation was a breeze and it up and running within the hour. It gets our room very chilly in no time at all and the remote and timer make it convenient as well. Would definitely recommend.

Looks nice. Keeps room cool (my bedroom has very high ceilings - about 10ft) and it’s not a small room, als gets direct sunlight most of the day. This AC keeps the room at a comfortable cool temperature even when it’s in the 90s outside. Even keeps the attached bathroom comfortable, as well as the adjoining room. So overall very worth it. Noise level is what you’d expect. It’s very even white noise, so it’s easy to filter out, and yes, I do have to turn my tv on louder, but that’s a bit obvious, but the ac doesn’t interfere with the sound clarity. I’d recommend this AC. Good design. Keeps room(s) properly cool. Quiet enough (or at least the white noise is even with no particular deviation so it’s easy to filter out - could be quieter though). 

Super easy install, keeps my very large bedroom cool. The only thing that could be better is it is a little loud but eventually turns into white noise and blocks out the street noise which is nice!

I replaced an older unit with this one. The old one was a 5k btu 15 years old. This new unit I'm reviewing is larger, but then again my room is 230 sf . It cools fast going from 89f degrees to 74 in maybe 10 minutes. It's been over 100+ degrees these last few weeks and I'm able to maintain the room temp to 76 f degrees. I like that it shuts down when set to ECO mode so I don't have to worry about getting up late at night to change the temp I've very happy with this purchase.

Got this for small indoor porch area, and it cools down fairly quickly. A little noisy, but overall good. Remote works like a charm and easy to access from across the room.

My unit was easy to install. Came with plenty of different types of foam insulation strips to provide a great fit. Unit has been running almost constantly without a problem. Easy to control by using the panel or the remote. Temperature sensor in remote works well to get the temperature fairly constant in the room. Have been using the unit in a window at the top of a stairwell to reduce the heat coming up from lower level and provide a cool hallway to the bedrooms. (Can leave doors open now for better air distribution.)

I bought this when my AC went out in my house. it cooled my quite large Master bedroom, closet, and bathroom in 95 degree temperatures. It is easily installed and gives off a nice hum to sleep to. Very easy to program to come on, or go off, after setting a timer and the remote can be set (remote sensing) to be the thermostate reading it obides by. So, I put the remote on teh other side of the room for it to focus getting that area to the set temp rather than right by the window.

Does exactly what I need it to do. Cools the room quickly. Features on the remote control are great. The one drawback is the unit is loud when on high.

My central air was was out and had been out for a while. We were could a real hot streak of weather was coming. So I bought this and put it in a downstairs window and wow it kept the downstairs cool enough. It covered much more then the 350 square ft it should have. Now the humidity it couldn't quite keep up with but for the area it should cover I know it will do a great job! It also comes with a remote which works great! Well worth the money that was spent on it. The central ac is fixed so it's not needed but if an emergency comes up we'll use it again!

Easy to use. Energy efficient. Cooks a room quickly and evenly. Love the energy saver setting!! Would buy this product for other rooms needing AC.

Purchased this unit last year and it worked pretty well. Turned it on last month and it wouldn't cool. The fan would blow air and the compressor turned on, but not cooling. After troubleshooting with Frigidaire tech support, they decided it was defective and sent a replacement since it was under warranty. The problem with a replacement unit is that you're not guaranteed to get the same unit. In fact, I received a 6,000 BTU unit to replace the defective 8,000 defective unit. Needless to say I'm not very happy about it. The picture shows the difference between the original unit(on the left) and the replacement that I received(on the right).

Good AC for a mid-size room. I use it in my bedroom and it gets the job done. It can be slightly noisy, but that's only because it's a bigger unit.

This AC is excellent for a relatively big room. The only issue is that it is a little to loud. We have it in our bedroom, and it cools well but the fan noise to much even at the lowest fan speed. Even though we have a whole house AC unit, the upstairs rooms get way to hot for my liking, so we got this unit. When it is less than 85, we turn off the house AC and just use the room AC. When it is really hot, both AC systems are on. This is exactly why I bought it. It would be perfect (5 stars) if it was quieter.

Frigidaire lives up to both the pros and cons of its previous reviews. Would not have bought a Frigidaire brand as had read and it does have a high pitched sound at times and is as loud as our previous AC, had there been another brand that had the right dimensions for where needed it for the size needed. However, it seems to be working fine and that is what we needed for these HOT months. Also the price was good for this item. We expect it to last for at least 5 yrs as our previous ACs have. Thanks Best Buy for having such good repayment plans.

Simple as can be installation, and it works great in a large room. Keeps the temperature consistent inside, regardless of the heat outside.

The window AC fully cools a space of 350 Sq. Ft. It's a great energy saver with auto cooling features and comes with a remote.

... in my +/- 2200 sq ft two-story house. During a heat wave. I bought two of these in hopes it would "take the edge off" until I figured out what's wrong with the central air. We installed one in the middle of the first floor and one in our bedroom upstairs, with a box fan on each floor to help circulation. Much to my surprise they are keeping the whole house completely comfortable! And even though I fixed the central air I'm still just using these as a scientific experiment to see if it's a little cheaper (I think it will be). Only gripe is that they aren't particularly quiet. If you tell it to stay on low fan speed it's acceptable background noise you can sleep thru; any higher fan setting (or the smart "eco" setting that cycles it on and off) and there's a good chance it'll wake you up. All in all happy with the purchases!

This is my first window AC unit and in this heat, I am so glad that I purchased it. I love the fact that it has a remote control so I can make changes without having to get up in the middle of the night to do so. I usually use it on the eco mode, which means it will turn off when the room reaches the desired temperature. It does turn back on when the room warms, as well. I am not going to lie, this does tap your electricity pretty good. Only 4 stars because this unit is loud.

Central AC/Heat Pump went out on very hot summer day, and I did not have the resources to have a new unit installed. Had to be concerned for my family & pets. Best Buy had some window a/c units in stock, and I made a quick purchase of two. They are relatively easy to install, and before the sun set, house temperatures dropped to a level comfortable to all. You gotta' do what you gotta' do in an emergency, and these units will suffice until a new house system can be installed.
