Generally, running a unit too big or too small for the space will result in ineffective operation and wasted energy.)
    • BTU Cooling Rating: 8000 british thermal units (The amount of BTUs (British Thermal Units) per hour the unit uses to cool the air, also known as cooling capacity. For best results, the capacity of the unit should be based on the size of the area it is intended to cool. For example, a 5,000 BTU capacity works optimally for a 150 square foot room. Q: My ac unit has styrofoam inside where the little windows are at. Is that supposed to be there? And if not how do I take it out?

A: Hi Priscilla! Thank you for your inquiry. The Styrofoam inside the air conditioner is there as a function of the air conditioner and not recommended to be removed. Hope this helps! -Thanks!-

Q: can someone tell me what the remote sensing means exactly ? and why this air conditioner turns off and on ? i hate that it does that i almost wanna return it due to it turning off and on by itself at night

A: 1). Remote sensing links the remote to the a/c unit so that it will use the temp at the remote location to determine if a/c should keep going or stop 2) set you options to not use Econ feature that will make compressor turn on and off as temp set is reached. Without Econ on unit will stay on in at least fan only mode.

Q: What needs to be done when the yellow filter reset button lights up? Does this mean replace the filter or maybe clean the filter? Only bought about 3 months ago.

A: Hello! When the filter reset light comes on, the air conditioner is prompting you to clean the filter. To do so, open the front panel and slide the filter out. It can then be wiped off with a microfiber cloth or cleaned with water and mild dish soap. Be sure to allow it to dry completely before putting it back into the air conditioner! Once the filter is clean, press the filter reset button to turn the light off. ~Ashton

Q: Does this unit easily sit in the window or does it have to be professionally installed? Does it have to have external brackets to secure it?

A: It fits in the window fine. Didn't have to use brackets. I put a 2 by 4 under it outside to help support it with no problems.

Q: The manual says to open the vents for fan mode and close them for cooling mode. I dont see how to open or close vents. Which vents is it referring to? Thanks!

A: Hey there, Alex! Thank you for your inquiry. In researching, we were able to see that the model in question does not have the vent feature. We certainly apologize. -Ciara

Q: Is this 110-115 volt?

A: Hello, Teaberrie! This model has a 110 volt plug. If you have any further questions, comments or concerns please contact us directly at 800-374-4432 M-F, 8:30 am- 8:00 pm. ~Briana

Q: What is the maximum window size (width only) for installation?

A: Hello Drew. The window widths allowed are 24" - 36". Kindly, Anna

Q: I read in the Questions and Answers here that there is no drain hole in this unit. I was thinking of using air conditioner tablets to help with potential mold, mildew, and algae problems. Am I able to put them in easily in the back of this unit? Thanks.

A: Hey there, Anonymous! You can use air conditioner tables. However, we do not recommend the use of air conditioner tablets on Window-Mounted AC units. I hope this helps. For additional questions, call us at 1 (800) 374-4432. ~Keyanna
