Also, some times the outside temperature can play a part in your air conditioner cooling the location immediately, whether you have central and heat or a window air conditioner. For optimal performance, selecting the correct sized air conditioner for the room’s square footage is essential for efficient cooling, and larger is not always better.

Have to keep it on low so we can hear each other and the TV. So it really doesn't cool the whole room. On low, I can hear it in the bedroom over the AC in there. It's the only one Best Buy has in stock, so we have keep it because it's better than nothing in this heat wave.
