Posted .Werner, thank you for choosing Frigidaire for your appliance needs. A unit too small for the area to be cooled will run continually without cooling effectively. The room remains too warm and too humid. A unit that is too large for the space to be cooled will actually be less effective than one that's the correct size. Humidity is extracted from the air as it is drawn over and around the cool evaporator coils of the air conditioner. If your room is significantly smaller, you may find that the air conditioner rapidly cycles on and off, leaving the room still warm. This may be because it is too powerful for the space and is getting bounce back from its own cold air output, confusing the sensor. The LG came packaged well and it works so far. Time will tell if the LG was a mistake.
