Posted .Hi, Sharon. I can understand your concern. Noise can be caused by improper installation or poor window support. Please check to make sure the appliance is properly installed. Otherwise, some noise can be expected, which is explained on page 4 in your Owner's Manual. Try using a lower fan speed to decrease some of the noise. ~ Brandi
