This air conditioner is very underpowered and will only cool a very small bedroom. The vents are junk, they barely move up and down and the diverter doesn't push the air stream to the sides like it should. If you want an air conditioner that you have to stand directly in front of to get cool then I would say buy it but if you want quality that will actually cool and blow air in different directions then look elsewhere.

I bought this air conditioner to keep cool for the summer but it only works good in a really small room with the door closed. I wouldn't recommend getting this brand if you want to keep cool LOL

Loud, doesn't cool, cheaply made-DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT! i wish Best Buy would call me and take this waste of money back!

I should have bought a different AC of better quality. This AC is not as cool as I thought it would have been when I went and purchase this item. Next time I will do more research on purchases.

Does not seem to cool well at all. We have a small bedroom and runs all the time for a 8000 btu unit, would think it would cool relatively easy, but it doesn't.

It's ok, it cools the room, but it doesn't tell you what the temperature is inside the room.

The air conditioner was broken when the installers tried to install it. I had so much trouble trying to get Best Buy to come pick it up. It has been over 1 month and the issue is still not resolved . I have spent hours on the phone trying to resolve this issue. wow

After picking up air conditioner and having it installed in window, it did not blow out cold air. Unit is defective. Returned unit to Best Buy and am still awaiting credit back to my credit card.

Two Frigidaire air conditioning units were purchased on the basis of an 8000 BThU rating supposedly adequate for cooling 400 sq.ft. . Installed in similar rooms of 140 sq.ft. they are inadequate to the task !

This ac is worthless because it is manufactured to be environment friendly. However, they defeat their own goals because one just has to run it at lower temperature for longer periods.

Not even 1 yr old and the unit fan is not working makes the noise but it is locked will check if it has a warrante on it if not FRIGIDAIRE is not a brand ill ever buy again

i bought this smaller unit with a larger unit as well neither worked as well as I thought they should have my LG works much better than both of these two combined.

Quit working after two days. When it would kick on to run it would only run for a few seconds and shut itself off.

Not good. I do not like it. I want to return and I want to buy it again.

I have a problem to get the product my air conditioned was lost

I have a small window and had a 5k BTU unit in there before. This is the first one I've found that is more than 5k and would fit in our little window. Turns out I had to saw off some of the plastic molding to make it fit, but it cools the room TREMENDOUSLY more than the 5k unit did. Nice to see such a compact unit cool so well.

We bought two of these Frigidaire 8000s to replace three 5000btu window units. We have a four room, top floor apartment. It gets hot on summer days particularly in the late afternoon. Even on the hottest days when the sun is blasting through the windows, two of these Frigidaires keep things a nice 72 degrees. The remotes have temperature sensors in them. You can set the remotes anywhere (chair, bedside table) and the units will keep cooling until the remote's temp is where you want it. That is pretty awesome. Noise? Well, our three old 5000 btu machines made quite a racket. These are much more reasonable. Plus, much of the time these machines go into auto-shut off which means periods of quiet (and probably saves a bundle on electricity). They have a much different feel than our old machines -- I mean these units feel more solid and are better engineered than the cheap window units we used to have. It would have cost $360 to buy three 5000btu replacements. Putting a bit of extra $$ into these (about $80 with the sale on) meant better engineering, remotes, temperature sensing, and the "clean air" feature. Well worth it. After a month or so with these units I don't think I'll ever buy anything other than Frigidaire. This is a good product that seems like it's actually made to last.
