I bought this AC just before summer for my bedroom. My bedroom is about 3 queen size beds big. And no matter I set the temperature to 61 or 66, no matter I leave the AC running for 3 hours or 10 hours, the room never gets lower than 70 degree. Some people might argue that is too low to bébés comfortable. Well, this AC allows you to set it to as low as 61 but not lower, so it means it should work to achieve that degree. And it is somewhat noisy. I have had better with same price.

About this model - I had read other's comment that this is air conditioner is not cooling at all. But I did not took them seriously and bought this from Amazon based on the rating (#4 in Home & Kitchen > Heating, Cooling & Air Quality > Air Conditioners & Accessories > Window). But they were right!! This is one of the worst designed model from Frigidaire. With the temperature sensing remote, the engineers at Frigidaire forgot to implement the sole purpose of the air conditioner that is cooling. I did everything to make this work by reading and following the instructions mentioned in the use and care manual but in vain. I felt like I wish I would have taken those reviews seriously. About the Frigidaire - They might be market leader in room air-conditioner (I am guessing, because on every other window, I see Frigidaire air conditioner). But there customer support is awful. Just wanted to confirm whether the unit is defective, or I am doing something wrong, I tried to reach customer support using all their number mentioned on their manual/website, from each called support number, IVR gave me new number to call. The number I have called - 800-944-9044, 706-860-4110, 888-775-6937, 800-374-4432, 706-860-4110. Not only this, the customer contact form available on their website gave some error after submitting my concern. This is a big question mark on their capability on providing service after sales.

The installation process was pretty simple. The air conditioner makes too much noise, even when I have it cooling on low. I have it in my living room and I have to turn my TV up higher than what I usually would have it because of the noise. A far as cooling, it gets the job done considering that I don't have a living room door. Is it worth the price, I don't think so. Frigidaire usually sells cheap quality air conditioners.

I received a brand new one of these as a gift. The lovely digital display went out within a couple of months. It still turned on but you could not change the settings. Then, it went completely out. It took so long to get the warranty replacement that I ended up getting a cheap unit to hold mr over. The replacement unit went out after just one summer. Sounds like it is grinding metal. I have been wanting a month for the replacement. They do not contact you. Terrible customer service. I have 3 window units in my home. 1 is 15 years old. 1 is 2 years old. They both run better than either of the fridgidaire units I have had.

Easy to install, runs great. I like the remote thermostat feature, ion filter is nice too.

I ordered this to make the room an arctic wasteland, it does fine but wont freeze you out.

This is an attractive enough unit, and the remote control is nice. But, the noise level of the thing, even on "low", is unacceptable. You can't watch TV with it on, and I can't imagine anyone could sleep with this thing running in a bedroom. Maybe after a dozen beers or so...

When I called in to purchase this item, I was told that installation was complimentary. I later found out that it was not, and that Best Buy was not willing to stand by their statement that it was. I now have not one, but two AC units in my living room that will not be installed as promised.

Controls lock up and only the fan blows. I can't change temperature, fan speed or power using the control panel on the unit or the remote. I have a Frigidaire 10,000 that did a similar thing except it's stuck blowing cold and I have to unplug it to shut it off.

I hear about the product is quiet, and read the reviews. I decided to give it a try.Shipping is OK, but the product is defective (not cold at all after multi tries). and also, the surface of the product is covered with an oil. so mess, so disappoint!

What a complete waste of money. I've had this a.c. on the lowest temperature for about 3 hours (hi cool) and my room is only moderately cool. I'm going to take this piece of trash back to best buy asap. What a waste of money!!!!
