Added hose discharge after that. Only drawback is it seems to regulate humidity within 10%. Had it set for 55 and was still running at 45.

This draws out at least a gallon of water (moisture) every single day. I am going to use the drain hose adapter asap because it's necessary for my basement. I'm so glad the adapter was supplied with the unit. I don't know how much electric I'm using but I HAVE to keep this running regardless. I am very happy with this unit.

Here's Hoping for Another 7 Years of Service

The unit is much quieter and being Energy Star rated consumes about 20% less electricity while the lower fan setting makes it silent while it runs in my basement with me sitting one floor above. My basement is holding a steady 45% humidity since I got this unit running.

It's been running since and our basement hasn't felt this dry and odorless in like forever. I especially appreciate the draining options - drip bucket or hose and if you decide to use the hose, you don't destroy the option to revert back to drain bucket. Here's hoping this one lasts as long as the one it replaced - over 10 years.

Frigidaire Dehumidifier

We purchased it to replace another Frigidaire Dehumidifier that we purchased from Best Buy several years ago. We have a ranch house with finished basement and it removes the humidity and makes the basement very comfortable. The new models are slimmer and a little bit quieter than my previous dehumidifier. If this one lasts as long as our last one, then it will be great.
