My lower level was musty and it felt damp, although no water was visible. The dehumidifier worked night and day when I first turned it on. The musty odor is gone. The device is set to turn on at a specific humidity level. After 3 months, I am very happy with its performance and I haven't noticed a big increase in the electric bill.

About 3,000 sqft. Townhomes with a lot of humidity upti 63% amd thus can bring the humidity down about 10% in about 2 hours at max fan. If you want to run it longer, you need to get the 70 pint. It does turn off if the bucket is full so no worries about spills, otherwise you can run a pipe that goes straight to the drain if you want contunues operation.

I am impressed with this dehumidifier. It is efficient and quiet.

The dehumidifier does the job of drawing the water out of the air, but I found that emptying the bucket was a problem. The water fills to the top and if one has a distance to walk in order to empty the bucket, the chance that it will spill as you walk is strong. It is also difficult to remove the bucket from the body of the dehumidifier.

The dehumidifier packaging was very good with helping to decide what's the correct size to buy. The unit also has a very nice feature that it shows what the humidity level is. It's also much quieter than previous ones we've used. Another nice feature is the circular window that lets you see how much water it has collected at a glance. Excellent unit.

Works great. We use it with a hose hooked to it running straight into the sump pump in our basement this way we don't have to empty the tank everyday.

I bought this after my basement flooded to help dry out the wall-to-wall carpet. It worked beautifully, but since it was extracting water so fast, and filling up more than twice a day, I figured I'd get a larger capacity model, so I took it back and traded it for the 70 pint model. Both the 50 and 70 and very nicely engineered and work beautifully.

We just recently purchased a home which had some moisture issues so we immediately went and picked up the Frigidaire dehumidifier and within the first hour of running it we could feel the difference in our home. We ran it for three days straight and now we have no moisture issues. It worked wonders in our crawlspace as well.

I had to return the first two, because they didn't work, but the third is working great. The water reservoir is hard to open and shut, but other than that, I am really happy with it.

I tend to leave 5 star reviews for truly superb products. This one is great but not quite superb. It does a good job of drying my only-slightly damp basement. The only knock I have is that if you remove the bucket for emptying, it continues to drip condensation while the bucket is gone right onto the floor. This is not a lot of water so keeping a rag handy to catch the drips while it is gone solves the problem.

Small, quiet and efficient unit that does a great job. Not noisy like my old dehumidifier!
