I bought this one because the handle on my old dehumidifier broke while carrying it. This caused ithe unit to say bucket full and therefore wouldn't work. This model is so much sturdier. I noticed the picture in the manual shows a hand under the bucket while carrying it. Works very well taking humidity out of our basement. Only gave it 4 stars because it does throw warm air when working but I heard they all work that way. Our older model did not do that .

Placed in my basement storage area. It brings the relative humidity level down to 45 to 50. To do this it has to run 24/7 but that's not unexpected given the degree of humidity. I only gave it 4 stars because it does not come with a hose for drainage and this is certainly needed if you don't want to constantly empty the water container. The first time I used this without a hose the chamber filled in about 4 hours. The hose is an additional $12.

After two years it is still like new. I set the humidity level, turn it on, and stop worrying about it. With the optional drain hose you never have to empty the tank. If running continuously it keeps a large space dry and comfortable. Great for basements or seldom used areas you want to cut off from the rest of the house AC system.

We have this in a two-car garage, where we were concerned about the possibility of mold in the warmer months. So far, it works great. It's quite powerful (and loud) even on the low setting, but since it's in the garage we don't mind the noise. I will say the design has some awkward elements. It's difficult to see the water level through the circular "window" in the front, and the bucket drains out from all over the top, but we're happy with the performance.

This works great for getting the moisture out of the air. It does kick off a bit of warm air.

This dehumidifier is great when it's working. Not too noisy (keep on lower speed) and removes the moisture quickly. They are notoriously bad for not lasting too long. Buy it on sale and use the savings to get the extended warranty. You won't be sorry. I've used the return twice now, no questions asked, they just give you a replacement.

I did my homework this time and it shows. This is the best dehumidifier that I have owned. I had a smaller 30 pint dehumidifier from another maker but the resivoir needed dumped every day and in the end the resivoir got a small crack that lead to pools on my floor. This new 50 pint has a much larger capacity and the auto shut off works great so I only have to empty it every couple of days.

This unit works great and pulls tons of water from our basement.

We have been looking for a quiet unit for awhile. We are happy with this unit so far.

Bought this as our last dehumidifier had stopped working. Had waited a few weeks before purchasing and had noticed humidity becoming a issue in our basement. The first day after purchasing this dehumidifier it had it under control. I use the bucket to empty the water verses a hose and has easy in and out. There's no completely silent system you can purchase in this category but this one is definitely quieter then most I've had in the past.
