They last 3-4 years, then I replace them. Can't beat the Geek Squad warranty. Actually, this one was not a warranty replacement -- it was exchanged due to manufacturer recall.

Fitting included that allows drain hose attachment but fitting could not be secured on tank due to threads being too shallow and slipping.
