Stopped working after 15 months

Worked great the first year but suddenly failed after 15 months. Manufacturers warranty was for 12 months. Luckily Frigidaire agreed to replace it after I jumped through all their hoops and after a month or so of back and forth emails and electronic submissions. That process was a major hassle with several delays but eventually they came through and Replaced it.

However, we bought it to put in our crawl space and drain with a garden hose. It would not drain through the hose, no matter what we tried, it filled the tank. Took it back. Got a different brand that works fine.

The bad thing is about the customer representative at a Best Buy store when trying to return this second dehumidifier received by mistake because I cancelled the order before shipping. I was treated like a was already convicted for a felony. I mean, seriously??? The guy began to ask things like why I did open the box. Also, that I shouldn't't try the product if I was to return it because he needed to resale it. That he found some water at the box's bottom, etc. In summary, a complete non sense, very rude and uncomfortable that I never had experienced before at a Best Buy store. I do not think he represents what that brand stands for but he was there, aggravating me and it happened for real. I hope it never happened again because it will be the last time I purchase from a Best Buy store again.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Our less than 4 year old unit just froze up and I got on the WEB to find a local repair Center and discovered it was under a recall for possible electrical firesl. Found the RECALL FORM and filled iot out then I spent a lot of internet time to see what was out there with 4 or 5 star rateing and found this one. BESTBUY had it in stock and at a fair good price so I bought it and just installed it about 4 hours ago. Just removed packing tape and read the instructions. Quiter than my old SOLEUS GL-DEH-50-2 which I liked and the FRIGIDAIRE started working right off after the one hour wait per set-up instructions. Time will tell .. Much improved DB and so far I am happy.

I like that it has a timer and you can control the humidity level on it, my previous one just had an on and off. I'm amazed at how much moisture is in my house! Very thankful for this product and appreciate the extra perks they have put into it! Love this thing!
