    Stopped working after 2 years all most exactly.. had the replacement agreement so I was able to get a replacement of another brand

    Works per the specs .... Don't expect anything spectacular .... After two {2} years the condenser was shot and the unit was tossed in the trash can ....

    Works fine until it codes F0 or something else. Usually happens just after the one year warranty. I hate extended warranties - but would never go without one on this dehumidifier.

    Researched and bought this "highly rated" Frigidaire 50 pint Dehumidifier July 2018. The continuous drain does not work and all attempts failed to fix per the troubleshooting manual. I should have paid attention to all the negative reviews. I don't understand how this model continues to be so highly rated. DOES NOT WORK WITH DRAIN HOSE.

      We are sorry to hear that you feel this way, Disappointed. In order for you dehumidifier to drain properly, your garden hose should be 11/16" (17.5 mm) or larger in diameter. Please also ensure the unit is set to a proper setting (low enough RH% so the unit turns on) and a garden hose is connected properly and tight enough.     Unit is effective but removing the bucket from the unit is extremely cumbersome. Sorry, but poor design.

    I’ve purchased 2 of the Frigidaire FFAD5033R1 dehumidifiers. Both became useless due to the dreaded “FO” error code rendering the unit dead. The first one was out of warrantee but had served us well for a few years so we replaced it with the same. We used the new one for a few months and it to stopped working for the same error code. This one supposedly is still under warrantee but the mfg is pawning us onto a local contractor. We’ll see how that goes. I would not recommend this unit to anyone.

Typically, an “F0” message is dealing with the operating conditions. The outlet voltage should be 115V±10% and the surrounding temperature should be within the range of 41 °F to 96 °F. Unplugging the unit and plug it in again under the normal operating conditions can assist in resolving your concerns.

    I purchased an open box item. It was to be as new but the packaging was damaged. What I got was a dehumidifier with all the clips broken off the air filter. I have stage 4, that's why I purchased on line in the first place. I'm not running back to the store with a return. This was an obvious defect, the filter covers half the rear of the unit. I won't purchase on line from Best Buy again.

    Used in an area with high humidity and put a hose on it. After 2 months it stopped working. Checked all filters and for clogs there were no issues. Disconnected hose to see if that was the issue and still wouldn't work just gives a code for repair. Very disappointed for such a short use considering the price.

    Made a HUGE difference in basement

    We've had twice as much rain as normal this year in the Chicago area. As a result, my basement was getting damp and smelly. I did some research and read reviews and then found the best price on this unit at Best Buy. I was torn between this and the 70 pint model, but decided to go with this one. The basement is about 750 sq feet, but this only took about 8 hours to make a big difference. For the first few weeks I emptied the water manually (twice a day), but then I went to the hardware store and bought a 6 foot garden hose extender to run this into our floor drain. Super easy and our basement actually feels and smells nice now! You might want to pick up a good grounded extension cord, if you're not going to use it right by an outlet.

    3 months after purchasing it is not working. Fault code FO comes up after it is on for just a few minutes. Went to local store and they won't do anything about it. My old de-humidifier lasted for 11 years and no problems till it quit. Rip off!

    The dehumidifier is confusing to use and I cannot get it to do what it is supposed to do. The setting for amount of humidity I want in the baseline cannot be set because the unit has it owns limit it forces me to use.

    Frigidaire items are not the dependable brand it was years ago. This dehumidifier remained on for days in my basement. When I went to check why it was not full, I saw that it was not even sucking in any water and had stopped working. I had a Haier before this and it worked for many years without problems.

    I bought this item in June 2018. It has stopped working with an error code. I have tried unsuccessfully to talk to Frigidaire about this dehumidifier. They will not accept any calls. This reflects poorly on Frigidaire and Best Buy. I will not buy another product from them again.

    Bucket for water too small, window is hard to tell if bucket is full, unit drips water if you pull bucket out before it is full. I had the same brand before and it was great . Manufacture cheapened up product too get cost out.

    Good Medium-Sized Dehumidifier

    I bought this dehumidifier for my basement, which can get damp during rainy periods during the spring and summer. From other reviews, I noticed that some of these machines do not last long - maybe a year or two at best. I believe these short lifetimes are caused by frequent on/off cycling of the compressor. I suspect the problem may be that the humidistat is built into the machine, where the air becomes dried fastest. This causes the machine to shut off prematurely and then turn on again, etc. So, what I did was to buy a separate dehumidifier control, which I installed well away from the dehumidifier, with a long (heavy duty) extension cord connecting the two. I set the control to 42 percent and set the dehumidifier to "run constantly." This has greatly reduced power cycling in the dehumidifier and (hopefully) will extend its serivce life. As far as the machine itself is concerned, it is fairly quiet and works well. My only compaint is that it seems to have a really tough time drawing moisture from the air once the humidity gets down to about 42 percent. Otherwise, this seems to be a very good machine for the money.

    It was running great for about two months. Then, big chunks of rust started to show up in the water bucket. It looked like that they came from the internal components of the dehumidifier. Best Buy took it back without hassles.
