I have purchased two of these units over the past couple of years. This humidifier was recommended by Consumers Reports and both units have functioned perfectly. I purchased one for a friend and the other for a basement location.

After reading many reviews I decided to try it out. It's been working great for 2 months now. Some days it works so well that it needs to be emptied the next day. The capacity works for me because it only takes a few minutes to empty it out.

I purchased 2 of these units, one for my dad and one for me. They both work great and they do exactly what they are supposed to do. We use them in our cellars. My dad sets his % humidity to 60% and fills the reservoir in less than a day, I set mine to 70% and empty about 1.5 days or so. This is with summer humidity of 85-90%. I wish the reservoir was a little bigger, but on the other hand, it is easy to lift and empty. These are some of the better things I have purchased this year.

I bought this in the fall and only used it a few weeks before winter. It worked great so far. The only issue I had was that a small amount of water would leak onto the floor when I would empty the bucket. I did not figure out the hose yet./

Key features, easy to use controls, auto shutoff, length of power cord, castors and handle make moving unit easy (without lifting) - unit has multiple fan speeds, the lowest fan speed is very efficient at moving air in 1850 sq ft home.

This dehumidifier rocks! We bought indoor thermometer's for each room in the house and they have a humidity sensor. The humidity in our house was significantly above the average of 55%-65% for a house of its size. We got this device and are very happy with it. It's not too loud (we like the white noise), it doesn't t off that much heat, and best of all most of our sinus issues have cleared up. We set the humidity setting to 50% and were shocked at how much water there was the first time we emptied it.

We purchased this to rectify damage from Hurricane Harvey. While it is not quiet it really works well and emptying water manually is easy. I can see us using it to supplement a/c on really humid days in the future.

bought this because of high humidity due to some old windows... put in a wide open main room with good air circulation... i needed to empty about every 10 hours depending on setting so be prepared for that... it is a heavy machine (esp when full) so keep that in mind if you are planning on going up or down stairs... but it is crazy the amount of water this will pull out of the air... i would suggest running your air handling system (heat/ac) fan as well to help with air movement and circulation to get the most out of this item.

The De humidifier is quiet and efficient and easy to maintain to empty water. The controls are accurate and easy to maintain.

The de-humidifier is the perfect size for our 720sq.ft. cabin. It really does a great job of removing the moisture from the air.

We were reluctant inn this one since it had some bad reviews, but it's performed like a champ for over a year. It has raised the electric bill, but the trade-off for a dry,non-moldy basement is worth it. You do need to be aware it exhausts from the side, but for us that didn't matter. Easy to use. I like that it tells you when to clean the filter. That's easy to overlook, but important to do.

Old dehumidifier stopped working in our unfinished basement. Read reviews on this dehumidifier and purchased at Best Buy. Humidity level at start was at 70% and within 24 hours went down to my preset level of 50%! Basement dampness is gone. This unit is pretty quiet too. Was able to use drain hose from our old dehumidifier. Facing the dehumidifier, the drain set up on this dehumidifier is on the left side which worked perfectly for us. Would highly recommend.

This unit pulls out a full container of water from my basement on a daily basis. This is even with A/C in the "finished" basement. So, emptying it every day is a little bit of a chore, but the fact that this dehumidifier pulls out that much moisture is awesome!! There is also a bedroom in there and sleeping is comfortable. The air is comfortable and the sound of the dehumidifier is that of a regular box fan.

MY OLDER FRIGIDAIRE WAS ALMOST IDENTICAL--EXCEPT THE DEPTH WAS A BIT MORE. I LOVED THE OLD ONE BUT IT WAS RECALLED AND I RECEIVED A $100 TOWARD THIS ONE. IT IS QUIET AND RUNS 24/7 DURING THE SUMMER. IT KEEPS THE 1000 SQ FT BASEMENT DRY AND USES 500+ WATTS. THE 70 PINT MIGHT BE BETTER FOR A HUMID BASEMENT, BUT IT DRAWS OVER 700+ WATTS. I HOPE THIS IS MADE AS WELL AS THE OLD ONE THAT RAN 6 YEARS WITH ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WRONG WITH IT.

Easy to hook up (including easy access hose connect). Does an excellent job maintaining humidity at desired level. Allows for continuous humidity levels as opposed to a range (Hi, Med, Lo).

Our very old dehumidifier gave up before Christmas, and the basement was starting to have an odor, but we put the new unit down there and with in a few days the moisture and the orders were gone. Very happy

Dehumidifiers are often problematic and fail after short periods, but this machine seems reliable so far. It certainly dries the room up quickly and efficiently and is relatively quiet.

After the recent floods, we bought 2 of these dehumidifiers and they have really worked well to get water out of our closets and hallways. They are very easy to use. We are very pleased with this product.

This is helping with our post-Harvey remediation a lot. I do know that in Houston there will be future days when I'll use this to eliminate humidity. I imagine it will keep us more comfortable without lowering the thermostat.

Much quieter than my ~5 year old dehumidifier, this seems to work great, and is rated to use less electricity. Could have a larger capacity bucket for holding water, but mine is now hooked to my sump pump.
