    Don't buy

    This dehumidifier was a replacement unit sent to me by Frigidaire for one of their units that went bad (compressor froze). I received it on 6/15/15 and today (5/4/2017) I went to turn it off to empty the bucket, and it would not turn off. None of the buttons on top would work either. Only a one year warranty, so they would not cover the repairs. I will be looking elsewhere for my next unit. DO NOT BUY!

    Disappointed. Errors within the first 4 months.

    Did a lot of research before buying this dehumidifier. Decided on this one ", bestbuy did a great job shipping quickly. I followed instructions for set up and use but after a few months unit would shut off and show "FO" error. I troubleshooted and tried multiple outlets in case it really was a voltage issue (note - my previous dehumidifier had 0 issues on the same outlet). No luck, error comes up within a few minutes, hours, or days - seems to vary each time. This will likely be my last Frigidaire dehumidifier.

    Be sure to buy extended warranty

    Today, I bought my sixth unit in 8 years. They have lasted 12, 15, 18, 32 and 27 months. Fortunately Best Buy offers an extended warranty and they are very good in honoring it. I like the design features of the unit but I cannot understand why they don't last. The first american built unit I bought over 40 years ago lasted 20 years!!

    Only 1 yr old + started getting F0 code

    Only 1 yr old. Worked great until I Started getting F0 code + unit would shut off. I'd unplug & plug in another outlet. It'd run for couple hours, then F0 code. There's nothing wrong with the outlets. I've been reading LOTS of chats about other people having the same issue. Naturally the company doesn't want to address this issue except "Call an authorized service center".

    Error code failure - short warranty didn't help

    This unit became erratic after a couple of months, throwing an error code of F0. Apparently this is fairly common based on web searches. Warranty process was confusing and a lot of hassle, and by the time I got around to seriously seeking resolution the one year warranty (thought it was two) had expired and I had a $200 useless appliance. Can't even find info on how to disassemble and try to repair myself, though. I'll never buy Frigidaire dehumidifier again despite reviews.

    Not made with quality in mind

    I purchased this product in June of 2016. It worked great till I went to plug it in for the 2018 summer. Compressor does not come on anymore and then the display just sits there and displays FO. Great abbreviation!! Will not purchase another Frigidaire product. I will try Insignia and see how they work.

    Does Not Last

    I suspect most of these reviews were written soon after purchasing the product. My unit failed after three years of light use. The dehumidifier runs for a little while then displays the F0 error code. The manual says to unplug the unit and restart. Unplugging does clear the error and gets the unit working again, but it only runs for a little while before shutting off again with the F0 error. Based on my experience, I do not recommend this product.

    Doesn't last. Never again

    This is the second Frigidaire dehumidifier I bought in the last 5 years and this one didn't even last 1 year. I bought it in 23 Apr 2015 and it doesn't work anymore. Turned it on earlier this month and the motor runs but it doesn't remove any water. Warranty of 1 year expired just after I found the receipt. Never again will I buy another Frigidaire product.

    Low life expectancy

    I first purchased a Frigidaire 50 pint dehumidifier and brought it home and used it for approximately 6 months before it quit. Electrolux/Frigidaire replaced the original unit and it ran about 4 or 5 months before it quit. Seems like the temp overload and capacitor fail quite often on these units. I got about 10-11 months usage but due to shipping and paperwork they denied replacing the second unit. They seem to have a good rating but things like this don't happen by chance. They have a big problem. Spare yourself the bs.

    Purchased this dehumidified one and half years ago and thought it was a good brand. The machine showed a FO error and tried a few option and it didn't work. Searched the internet and it is a common error and warranty won't cover it since warranty is only 1 year. Very disappointed with purchase.

    Lasted just over one year.

    I had at least one Frigidaire dehumidifier that went almost 15 years. So I purchased another Frigidaire. That one failed at five years when the compressor died and this one at 13 months with repeated F0 error codes. Replaced with a Danby that has 2 year carry-in warranty.

    Bought this dehumidifier exactly 3 years ago. Started producing rust water about 6 months ago and now we have gotten the "F0" error. Unplugged numerous times runs for about 20 minutes then "F0" error. Seems to be a very common issue with this model. Just google "F0" error and see for yourself. Buyer beware!!!

Please ensure that the temperature in your room is between 41 and 96 degrees and the dehumidifier is receiving full voltage (not plugged into an extension cord). You can also try unplugging the appliance for 30 seconds to clear the code.     one season of use and done

    Bought this 50 pint Frigidare dehumidifier 1 year and less than one month ago. One season out of it here in the Northeast (3 months). shuts off. FO code in the window. Changed outlets multiple times. Same response. I will call customer service and see how they respond and keep you all posted.

    Worked okay for about a year but then had a fault "FO" that prevented the unit from running. Best Buy did allow me to return the unit towards a new one. Thanks for helping me with this one Best Buy!
