Look, I've purchased 3 of these things in the past 10 years, and the ONE problem that I've had with ALL THREE is the funky, MUSTY smell that comes through that for SOME REASON you can't get rid of! I purchased my last one in 2017, the Frigidaire model FFRE1233S1, and now my coverage has expired AND it won't blow cool after an EXTENSIVE CLEANING! I've learned to gain the system though! If you have to purchase this because it's all you can afford do this: get the insurance coverage that is offered from a big box store, normally it's 2-3 years. Keep up with the expiration date and within the LAST 2 MONTHS of the coverage ending, take it in and get a new one! They say that these things are supposed to last 10 years, yet when you live in Illinois like I do, you only use it for 5-6 months a year just to have it go out in2-3 years of ownership! It's been used for a total of 18 months out of 36! What kind of trash are they selling to people? Well, I've learned to make them reap what they sow! You're not gonna make a product that last 10 years like you've promised? Fine! I'll give it back and you'll give me a NEW ONE or another model for a few dollars more! You play me, I'll play you!

I heard this worked on small houses. I have a one bedroom and it does not really cool the area for the 12,000. I was a bit disappointed with how long it takes to cool even two rooms.

Ive owned a frigidare ac in my office for seven years. Never a moment of trouble. A little noisy, but very piwerful. Highly recommend.

The panel stopped functioning after about 3 weeks of use. The unit still cools but the panel won't let us change any settings. Very disappointing. This is a brand I trust and then this happens. Frigidaire says I can still return it to Best Buy within the year warranty but what a pain to de-install, get to store, re-install. Very upset about this.

Too many issues with this AC. I got this one based on recommendation of a very helpful employee but the fan is too loud, can't cool just the kids' rooms upstairs and shuts off itself whenever it feels like. This is the second frigidaire I tried and didn't work , returned it back to the store and time to try a different brand.

I bought it June of 2016. I took it inside the house for the winter until may of 2017. When I installed it and turned it on the motor was seized up and after a lot of tries the motor stated to move but it was making do much noise that I had to take it down.

Bought this unit for a small room, around 450 sq ft, it works ok but I was expecting it to be more silent. A bit noisy for me. Still does the job.

Pretty good. Serves its purpose, unfortunate that the setting aren't stored, so every time it's turned on it has to be reprogrammed.

it's a great ac, not too much noise..it was hard to install but got it on the 4th flr get professional to help you out.

I pick this unit because of the size; however, I have 6,000 btu units that do a much better job of cooling and conditioning the air. The energy save mode is horrendous as well.

Worked fine for about 6 weeks, although a tad bit on the loud side. Then one day it would only run if the fan was on high. Luckily the nice folks at bestbuy exchanged for a new one. Hopefully this one will work better.

So far it runs fine. It's not as cool as expected but has an excellent and powerful fan.

It claims to cool 850 sq. ft. This is not the case. Great for a bedroom.

It's an Air Conditioner... It cools the air. WTF do you want me to say.

I thought this AC would cool off the space, however it isnt so great

It is used for one small room and just doesn't seem to cool well.

This is the second ad unit I have, the AV unit woks well when it acctually works, if you set it to Eco mode it will not keep the temperature at which it is set it will just cycle for less than a minute and turn off and on

I bought 2 of these. One came damaged by UPS & the other one did not cool and the fan motor did not work, made tons of noise and I had to take it back to the store.

I purchase the unit thinking it will be cold like my old ac plus save money because it's an he and what a big surprise. My old ac push out a lot cool air making the entire down stairs cold and half upstairs in the hallway. Yes my old unit was a 12,000 and so is this new one here and still it's a huge drop when it comes down to cooling my down stairs which cools the dinning room and living room not even coming close to upstairs so to everyone looking for a new unit maybe go a step up which I should have done from a 12,000 btu to 15,000 btu maybe it's because of the he performance.
