A: I'm sure the official Amp rating is higher because a circuit needs to provide more Amps than an appliance draws to follow electrical codes. I purchased a 12,000 BTU unit and measured the draw using a Kill-A-Watt meter. When the compressor kicks on, the Amps peak at just under 12 Amps. When the unit is running with the fan on high and the compressor on, it stays between 6.5-7.5 Amps.
Q: What are the dimensions of this unit?
A: Here are the dimensions of this product: 14.5" (H) x 19" (W) x 21.5" (D).
A: you need to have a slight angle on the a/c unit. The water gets full at first since it's removing the humidity out of the house (moisture). It will slowly drain out of the pan after a week or so, you will still see a little water at all times. Not a problem unless you don't have enough lean on the unit. Then water will drain into the house but unlikely. Old A/C window units had drain holes that clogged up anyway, have two new units with no drain holes. Once the moisture (humidity) is out of the house the water in the pan will evaporate.
A: This is a 115-volt model.
Q: Do unit have a slide out chasis
A: Hello mems! The internal components of the air conditioner FREE1233S1 do not slide out from the frame. We hope that this information helps you with your shopping experience.–Thanks-

Q: Does the unit need an outside bracket to support the weight?
A: I did not have to install a bracket, and I have not had any issues.
