Purchased the new 12,100 BTU unit only to find out it was taller, barely fitting into the window and the blower ran slower producing less cooling than the old unit. Frigidaire has always put out a good product in the past but this time was very disappointed.

Posted .Hey George, I am terribly sorry to hear that you are disappointed with your A/C and that the unit was taller than you expected. I recommend adjusting the temperature to a more colder setting. Also, if the room temperature is very high, the air exiting the unit may not feel cold. Air exiting the unit is usually between 17°-20°F lower than the Intake air, and may not feel cold to the touch until the room temperature is reduced. I hope this information is helpful. The bedroom is only 12x15 and bathroom is 10x10 but it only works in the bedroom and never makes it the second room even with fans.

Expensive for the quality

Some times the outside temperature can play a part in your air conditioner cooling the location immediately, whether you have central and heat or a window air conditioner. For optimal performance, selecting the correct sized air conditioner for the room’s square footage is essential for efficient cooling, and larger is not always better. When ever the air conditioner is turned off and back on, it will reset to the eco mode, which is normal. Sloppy design and unacceptable cut corners

Everyone is aware that AC removes moisture--the product description even 'brags' about how much it clears in an hour. So where does the water go? I heard this funny noise, looked into the unit from outside and I see the fan hitting a puddle of water--no drain hole in the bottom! Are you kidding me? What sane, ethical, dependable company would not put a drain hole in the outside bottom? I just cannot believe this would be omitted--what else did they cut from this unit? I had to by this due to windows in metal buildings not opening far enough to fit a normal AC in, so it did fit. But that's all i can say for this cheap piece of junk. The econ setting will never flip on, and I had to drill my own holes. Never again, I'll go with Lg or some brand I can trust. NEVER AGAIN.

No one to contact to help in this matter if you didn't pay for geek squad service even though the item is barely five months old and should be covered in a year warranty. WAS TOLD TO CONTACT A STORE TO BRING IT BACK IN BUT NO ANSWER AT ANY ACTUAL LOCAL STORE... WILL NEVER MAKE A PURCHASE LIKE THIS ONLINE AGAIN!!!
