It was too small for what we bought it for.

I would not recommend if you have more than a 10 by 10 space. We were disappointed in the output. I guess we should have known it needed more whatever.

I "goggled" quietest air-conditioner. Nothing but Frigidaire products came up and with glowing reviews. B.B. was not selling any other brand at that time. They had a sale for Frigidaire and a friendly search engine guiding me to the loudest most annoying AC that I could purchase. Not cool manipulating search engines.

Posted .Uh oh, Hotroom69! I hate to hear that your a/c isn't keeping you cool. This model should work for a space up to 250 square feet or 10' x 25'. If your room is smaller than this, please make sure you have the a/c vented properly, you are using cool mode instead of eco or fan, and you have the vent louvers open. Posted .Thank you for sharing your feedback, Mazda. If the room temperature is very high, the air exiting the unit may not feel cold. Air exiting the unit is usually between 17°-20°F lower than the Intake air, and may not feel cold to the touch until the room temperature is reduced. You may find that adjusting the temperature to a colder setting will also help with the cooling performance. I hope this helps! -Courtney

It is not quiet at all and I constantly wake up in a sweat. Finally put back the old one. Stay away from this. A total waste of money!

It also takes a long time for the compressor to kick in when first being turned on after being off for any given period

The second one had to be returned because it was extremely loud high pitched whistling. The one that replaced it also has a whistling sound. I will not buy another air conditioner at best buy.
