This was a waste of money can't even cool a room..

Had under two years and keeps freezing up. It put out cold air last two summers but doesn’t blow cold air. I cleaned filter and cleaned coils multiple times with AC cleaner. Wouldn’t recommend.

Three weeks after purchasing the a/c, it starts making clunking noises at low speed. It's probably a loose or damaged fan bearing -- something that shouldn't be failing during the first month of ownership.

Huge regret purchasing this noise maker. There's styrofoam inside of the air conditioner that causes a loud sound while it's on. Also, white foam leaks from the back when it rains. Do not buy!

Unit does not cool the room as expected. The BTU is correct for the room size but it simply does not work well

I bought this for a very small room. It sounds like I'm running a generator or something. It barely cools the room and is beyond noisy.

I have a guest room very small I was going to 5k btu but decided get the 6k btu and even like that the room takes over an hour to cool off

Very loud and does not seem to kick out cold air like an a/c should

I read about this AC and was on the fence about this one (6,000 BTU) and the 8,000 BTU unit. I went into the store to purchase the 8,000 BTU unit they were sold out. I ended up getting this one and HONESTLY, I'm glad I did. The unit cools PERFECTLY and, the installation was easy once I read the instructions LOL. I would highly recommend this unit to anybody seeking a dependable and reasonable priced AC.

I bought this ac because i thought it would cool a regular size room but it doesn't cool room enough

Pros: Small AC unit cools one room fast Energy efficient unit Easy to use and install Cons: A bit noisy Has a tendency to recycle on and off quickly which wastes energy Programming can be difficult Bottom line: This small unit works for one room and cools it rather quickly. I don't like how it turns on for a few seconds only to turn off again. I have to shut it off after it cools down the room and turn it on every hour or two. Still, it gets the job done and that is the bottom line.

Not enough cooling power for the application. Never stops running.

Pro's: Nice remote with features Clean looking Decent price Easy install Cons: The hissing noise is a flap on their fan blades that is supposed to help cool off the condenser to save energy. It barely helps and a person constantly hears it which is super annoying. I drill an extra hole in the housing so the water drains out and problem solved. I suppose you could cut the part out of the fan blade as well. This AC unit also for some reason defaults back into ECON mode every time I turn on the unit again even though it was in COOL mode when I last shut it off. My other unit that is just an older version of this one never did that. This is super annoying due to the on and off sounds that it creates for again... very limited energy savings. This option should not be defaulting back especially when it is being plugged in and has standby power. It should retain it's setting. There are other complaints since this version became cheaper at the base versus my last one (they saved on material and used hat brackets instead of a long channel but I understand since I'm a current production support engineer and am sometimes tasked with cost saving changes. Overall this is a solid AC which is why not much has changed for years now with the design. Hopefully they can fix the annoying software and hissing problem.

firstly, the sales person told me this unit was energy star compliant - IT IS NOT! so no rebate from coned! i've been using this unit 7 days a week. it cools ok, but could do better for it's size. i normally only need a 5,000 btu for my room (room size 10'x15'), but thought 6,000 would be better. If i put it at 72 degrees, it doesn't cool well. if i put it at 71, it cools ok, if i put it at 70, it's too cold. my old 5,000 btu unit worked great at 76. it also will not turn on to cool setting - last setting when turned off. you must set to cool when turning on, otherwise it is set to energy save. it also has been once or twice turning itself to 68 degrees. by itself. buggy. it's fairly quiet, for an ac. filter change is not so easy. the filter kinda fits too well so hard to get back in on first try. gonna see if it lasts a year. if not, going back to 5,000 btu. my 5,000 lasted 5 years, but was very noisy.

I was looking for a budget air conditioner for our medium (about 15'x20') bedroom. It serves well for that. The 'econ' mode turns off/on too frequently, off for 3 minutes, on for 10 seconds, but is fine. At night i put in in regular 'cool' mode to keep the fan blowing, which helps not wake me up when the compressor kicks on to cool the air. Easy to install, worth the price.

This air conditioning unit was purchased on a whim but it has proved to be a good unit, I have has no issues, installation was easy, just got my first electric bill and was surprised to find that my bill hasn't gone up much. Comes with a remote which is always welcomed and the unit has a digital display with touch button controls. I'm happy with it and would recommend it.

We purchased this a/c early summer season and it is one of the best a/c's we have owned. This a/c has been heavily used this past summer season and continuously keeps the room cool at the desired temp. Washable filter is a plus as well as the size. Not as loud or as bulky as other a/c's of this size which is a definite plus.

Great air conditioner cools fast and strong. I am always hot so this cools fast and well. It is heavy to carry and a little difficult to install at first with the unclear instructions. Finally got it installed with the help of a friend. And btw us we installed it with common sense and a screw driver.
