I don't know how it works, but it sure helps with the south Florida humidity! Each day we empty the entire container filled with water. I've been using it to water plants.

This dehumidifier is very efficient. In my basement it has been getting a full bucket twice a day. My old unit took a day to get one bucket. This one is also pretty quiet. I have a chronic thumb injury, so for me it's a little bit difficult to pull the bucket out of the unit to empty it. I don't think this would bother most people though. I like the feature that you can set it to continuously drain with an attachment, but for me it won't work because the electrical outlet is not near the drain.

We were skeptical, but the dehumidifier has been great. Works so well in our basement we ended up purchasing a second for our attic to prevent mold/moistuure. Worth the $$

This item works effectively and is easy to empty. Works very efficiently and is not too loud.

Put it in my humid basement. It ran solid for a day and half until it got the humidity down, now it keeps the humidity at my predetermined level. Hooked an optional hose to the side, ran it to the sump, I don't even think about it being there anymore. House feels better and musty smells are gone. The operation noise (inherent to all mechanical devices) isn't noticed by us upstairs. Easy to set up and operate.

This has been pumping out water beautifully since I first hooked it up. It's in the basement and I have to go half way down the stairs before I can hear it running.

I have had the Frigidaire FFAD7033R1 for about a month and it has been performing very well. It is not as noisy as the GE I had before. My only complaint is the size of the bucket but that is not really a big issue for me.

So far my experience with this unit is good and it's doing what was expected and I surely would recommend this to anyone out there's who don't care about price point of this unit.

This has exceeded our high expectations. Its rated as one of the best, and it really is that good. Seems to be very well built, and it looks fine (for s freestanding appliance). It really pulls the moisture out of the air quickly. Florida can be very humid, so its definitely being put to the test here. It's passing with straight A's. We definitely recommend this unit.

Very quiet and efficient dehumidifier. I don't run continuously but unit pulls 70 pints of water from my basement daily. I can tell a positive difference.

Dried my 1200 square foot basement in just two days and is now holding at 50% ,the preset level. Very quiet running and not annoying to anyone. A quality piece of equipment.

This is the new model of the 2014 Frigidaire model that received such high ratings. Seems to be good, as well. Had been running steadily for the last two months in my basement following a very wet month of May.

This dehumidifier works as well as the reviews I read said it would. It's really done a great job drying out a humid cellar and its much quieter than my last dehumidifier.

I had a pretty muggy basement, 70percent plus humidity, this dehumidifier works great. Lowered the humidity in just a few days. It runs quiet and has an auto shutoff. I currently have to manually empty it so haven't tried the hose drain, this is why I'm giving 4 instead of 5 stars because I haven't had the opportunity to try this feature. The bucket has a rugged handle and disassembles easy enough to clean inside. Control panel is easy to use.

I have had this appliance for about a month. It has worked perfectly in our basement. It is quiet (you can adjust the fan speed) and effective. The fan is strong enough to circulate the air well, and it seemed to run well when the basement was still pretty cold in the spring. I have had trouble with dehumidifiers in the past, but this one looks like a keeper.

Very nice dehumidifier. Easy setup and the hose connection for automatic continuous running is just what I was looking for. No more having to drain the tank everyday

I empty this twice a day and it fills up if I don't! I didn't think my basement is that damp but this really sucks the moisture from the air! I run two and the smaller one definitely does not work as well. You can hook a hose to it so you don't have to empty it as long as you can run the hose to a drain below the unit. Competition markdown I paid 230 bucks, not a bad deal.

I bought this Frigidaire dehumidifier to replace an old one that had stopped working. In addition to having a nice look, it does a very good job of removing the moisture from the air. It is extremely easy to empty, doesn't spill, and is easy to replace . There are adjustable settings if you want that, but if you don't, you can just plug it in with the pre-set settings, and start using it!

Bought this to replace an eight-year old unit that wasn't performing well any longer. The Frigidaire has been outstanding in every respect: it's super-easy to attach a hose, it does a great job of removing moisture from the air, it's not too loud, and it lets you know when the filter needs rinsing. I like it so much that I bought a second unit for my son and his wife for their home.
