A: I contacted Fridgidaire today via the live chat on their website regarding my dehumidifier that was displaying this error code. It was purchased in 7/2018 and is now 12/2019, so I thought that the 1-year warranty was expired and that they would not be able to do anything. I decided to try anyways, and they stated that this issue is a part of the unit's sealed system, which is actually covered for 5 years! I have to send them a few photos and some additional information, but they will be sending me a replacement unit. I recommend trying this before modifying any of the sensors or wiring internally on your own. (I'm a low voltage electronics tech, so that would have been my next step.. Contact them first!)
Q: Is there a small hose you can run down a drain
A: You can hook up any standard hose to the supplied connection port as long as you have a drain nearby. This unit does NOT have s pump.
A: No, it does not. The process of dehumidifying the air generates warm air.
Q: What is room(s) size capacity of the 50 & 70 pint dehumidifiers?
A: I'm not sure of the cubic feet. I have it in a finished basement that is about 1000 SF and 3 separate rooms. It works fine if all the doors are open, but it won't work pulling moisture from a room with the door closed. They say for it to work most efficient to put it in a room and close that door...but I found it works fine for the whole basement with all doors left open to the rooms. 1000 SF by 10 foot ceiling so about 10,000 cubic feet. I have the 50 pint dehumidifier. But when we were at about 90-95% humidity I had to empty it every 12 hours or so. Now that the basement is about 50% humidity I only need to empty it every 2-3 days.
A: I can't speak for a power outage specifically, but after reading this question, I unplugged it while it was running and let it sit for a good 15 minutes or more. When I plugged it back in, it started running again without having to push the on button. So, my obsevation is yes, it will restart automatically. I hope that helps.
Q: what is the difference between FFAD7033R1 and FAD704DWD
A: From what I researched, it's the same model just the 'F' model is a couple years older and looks different w/ a few changes like where it drains from.
Q: Does the bucket fill up to top. If so, then how do,Imempty without spilling water?
A: There is a bit of a lip, and a kind of lid that flaps open when you go to pour. I was able to carry my bucket upstairs to pour outside without spilling. I have trouble carrying a cup of water without spilling, so, pretty effective spill-proof container.
A: Hi Gordy! Thank you for your inquiry. It can depend on the dampness level. A 70 pint dehumidifier with a wet dampness level is recommended for 700 square feet. A very damp or wet dampness level is recommended for 1000 square feet; while a slight or moderate dampness level is recommended for 1500 square feet. We hope this helps! -Thanks!-
