Customers are saying
Customers are positive about the 70-Pint Dehumidifier's performance, noise level, humidity control, and ease of use, with many praising its effectiveness at removing moisture and its quiet operation. However, customers are negative about the small water tank capacity, which requires frequent emptying, and some express concerns regarding the warranty coverage. The price is also mentioned favorably by some users. Overall, the positive feedback on performance and ease of use outweighs the negative comments on the water tank and warranty.

Excellent Humidifier
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I replaced a Frigidaire 50 pt with this 70 Pt version and have no regrets getting the larger size. I had done some research before I bought a new humidifier and this is the model that got the best reviews from a couple of sites. This unit really pulls out the moisture and does not have a problem maintaining the level set. It is exactly the same size as the 50 pt, so the difference must be stronger mechanics. I wish the storage container was a bit bigger because now I have to empty it more often than I did with the 50pt.

Works good
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have owned about 6 dehumidifiers while living in humid Houston Texas. During the summer and some winters it runs 24 hours a day. I must empty the bucket every 7 hours. This bucket is smaller than the others I have owned. I don't care what kind of dehumidifier you purchase they only last 3 or 4 years at best before it just stops taking the mositure out of the air. It helps a ton on the A/C. You can raise your thermostat by 2 or 3 degrees and still feel comfortable. Also I don't care what kind of dehumidifier you buy they all make noise. But I will say this one has been good so far. I have noticed you have to clean the screen or it will stop working properly. Once you clean it, it works like a charm.

It took awhile.....but it's all good.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. At first I was disappointed when connecting the hose to the dehumidifier because the pictures did not show how small the hose door was on the side of the dehumidifier. I was able to make some adjustments and now the unit works extremely well and I am very happy.

Works Great
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We've had several dehumidifiers over the years, and this one works great. We had very high moisture levels in the walk out level of our townhome after moving in. Within just a few hours, it brought the humidity down to normal levels. The front load pan is easy to remove and it comes with a hose hookup converter piece if you want to hook up a hose for continuous draining. Nice machine.

Great humidifier, removes alot of water
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After researching several different websites that reviewed dehumidifiers, I finally settled on the Frigidaire as it had one of the highest ratings for energy efficiency (if there is such a thing when it comes to dehumidifiers) and reliability. I previously owned a Frigidaire dehumidifier, similar model, and was extremely happy with its water removal capability. Although I have used the dehumidifier a short few days, I expect it to meet or surpass my expectations.

Does what it is supposed to do
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works just fine. Very quiet especially on low. Would have given it five stars except it is difficult to lock in the humidity setting. you have to hit two buttons at the same time and sometimes I have to try 5..6...7 times for it to work. And also to unlock it so that you can change the setting. It would be nice if the manual would suggest what the humidity reading should be. Am using it in my basement and it is working beautifully.

Great dehumidifier so far
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been pleased with how well it brings humidity down to the desired level. The unit is in the basement. I was emptying the reservoir which allowed it to cool down. Since I've hooked it to a hose it warms the area it is dehumidifying usually, but not all the time. It will run pass the level set but I haven't been able to observe for how long. I've had it for only 2 or 3 months, so if possible I will add to this review down the road.

Great, Quiet, Dehumidifier
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Product works great and is fairly quiet. The only negative is that the exhaust vent is on the right side, so you have to turn the dehumidifier so that the right side faces out. Tank is on the small side and fills up quickly.

Will the third one be the charm?
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. To save energy and improve my home's indoor air quality, I sealed/conditioned my house's crawlspace, and needed a good dehumidifier to keep the air in the enclosed space dry. This unit is getting the job done - holding RH at 50%, which is where I have it set. But under these conditions (indoor dewpoint about 51 degrees, basement temperature about 74 degrees) the unit is producing only about 1 to 1.25 liters of water condensate per KWh of electricity used. That's much less than its rated performance of 2 liters per KWh. The difference is the "Energy Star" rating is done under swamp-like test conditions, (dewpoint a bit under 65 degrees, ambient air temperature in the test room 80 degrees). So after factoring in the electricity needed to run this unit, I am not sure that I am overall saving any energy. But my indoor air quality is greatly improved - no longer any "musty" smells in my home's living area above the crawlspace. The other thing is, this is my third one of this model, the first two being replaced in warrantee. The first one slowly over many months had its performance erode, which took me about six months and much wasted electricity before I realized it was going bad, producing less and less water for the same amount of runtime. The second one was defective brand new out of the box. (It ran, but produced hardly any water at all). Will this third one be the charm? I hope so, but … Only time will tell.
