Bought this for the back bedroom which was very humid and stuffy. Was amazed at all the moisture this unit was able to pull out of the air. The room now stays crisp and cool. So much so that we are going to purchase another unit for our master bedroom. I would highly recommend this product. Before I purchased I did lots of research and this product was highly recommended, the reviews were correct. This unit does the job.

This dehumidifier has proven itself to be very effective In reducing high humidity levels in my basement. It quickly eliminated any moldy smell and has done so with a very quiet operation. If I made this review after a year and the machine was working as well as it is I would clearly give it a five star rating. Since this is only two months of use it clearly needs to be determined whether it will hold up to continued use. That said, it has worked as well or better than any other dehumidifier I have come across.

This unit replaces a smaller, noisier one I had. It is quiet and is pulling out a lot of water....so far , so good. At first, I wasn't sure if it was shutting off when the desired humidity was reached - but it does shut off once reached! Other reviewers commented on the heat it throws, but , like a refrigerator, that's how a dehumidifier cycle works (!). The more humidity, the longer it runs, the more heat generated in the process ....

Quiet, efficient, doesnt need to be emptied often, keeps large basement apartment dry

This is a great dehumidifier which works extremely well in our basement. It was taking so much moisture out of the air, we were having to empty the container fairly often. This wasn't a problem as long as we remembered to do it, but sometimes we forgot. So, since it came with a hose connection, we just went and bought a short hose, hooked it up and ran it to the drain. Now it works for us even better - would certainly recommend this humidifier and Best Buy.

The only drawback is that it only works in increments of 5. So, if I want my humidity to be 52 degrees, I have to set the unit to 50. It then will only shut off when it goes below 50 degrees. Since the we are working in increments of 5, that means that when the room reaches 45 degrees it will shut off. Other than that it works great. It dropped my 1,000 sq. ft. basement down 10 degrees in the first 24 hours I ran it. If you have a sump pump, get a short garden hose to attach to the unit and have it drain into the sump pump.

Very quiet and works well. The water condensation collection tank is a bit smaller than expected and needs to be emptied often.

My Sears unit quit. This unit out performs the Sears in every way. I love the continuous setting for when I move it between locations. The Sears unit never dried out our home during the wet season. The Frigidaire unit dries my home to the point that the windows do not sweat. More thought could have been placed into how the bucket is designed for draining, and a little longer cord would be nice. Have used Frigidaire Dehumidifier before. The las one was 12 years ols before it stopped working. Also have recommended these dehumidifiers to friends and family. They do the job and are quiet.

Our basement was musty and our old dehumidifier needed to be emptied constantly. This one has hose attachment and just runs as needed, works perfectly, dry fresh basement!

It work fast and it keeps the humidity under control. The noise level are acceptable.

This Frigidaire unit has roughly the same capacity and seems to be more effective at pulling moisture out of my basement area than a competitors model that died on me after just a year and a half of use. It also seems to be somewhat quieter than the previous unit that I mentioned above, and strikes me as being a more solid investment. I'm quite satisfied with my purchase and would recommend it to others looking for a good dehumidifier.

We purchased this dehumidifier to replace the old one that stopped working after 7 years of daily use in our basement! We decided to go from the 50 pint to the 70 pint.

Did my research, and Best Buy had the best price w free shipping so I didn't have to reward market giants Amazon and Walmart. Tracked Oklahoma to New England in reasonable time. Great energy star dehumidifier, and surprisingly quiet, hearing fan but not condenser. Use seasonally in my large cellar. Air intake in back, exits upper side, so I turn it around, and it works for my placement. Very efficient. Very Happy.
