Customers are saying

Customers are positive about the 70-Pint Dehumidifier's performance, noise level, humidity control, and ease of use, with many praising its effectiveness at removing moisture and its quiet operation. However, customers are negative about the small water tank capacity, which requires frequent emptying, and some express concerns regarding the warranty coverage. The price is also mentioned favorably by some users. Overall, the positive feedback on performance and ease of use outweighs the negative comments on the water tank and warranty.

I just bought this dehumidifier and so far it works great. Stabilized humidity after 1 day. Easy to use.

Picked this item up to control humidity in our basement during the summer time. We've been using this 70 pint unit for a little over 3 weeks now. Overall the design is very good, with a slim depth profile and easy to understand control labels with membrane switches on the top panel. I also like the optional hose connection which is a great improvement over many of the old -school designs which require you to punch a hold in the bottom of the tank for the hose connection. The hose adapter running out the side thru a small door and pulling from the top of the tank is a very nice feature. It does a very good job at pulling humidity out of our basement area, but when running on fan speed high for continuous mode it is pretty loud. Something to keep in mind for where you place it and when you run it. I chose to place this it the utility room area near the furnace - away from general living areas. One other small issue though. It is a little awkward to pull the tank and replace it in the front of the unit. While the design team did include a small recessed area on each side for your hand to pull the tank forward when removing, it does bind sometimes when the tank putting the tank back in after emptying it out. It's plastic-on-plastic as it slides back in. If it were easier to slide in and out, I would have given this 5 stars. Overall though, a very solid design and good choice to get this unit. I would buy it again, and recommend to a friend or family member too.

Have been using this dehumidifier for over a month in my basement and it works great. I like the various features, for example, you can set what humidity level you want for a location, I set mine to 45%. Also, it was very easy to directly attach a hose to the dehumidifier which I ran to the drain; as I didn't want to have to empty the bucket all the time. I just set it up and leave it run.

I am pleased with the features and performance of this dehumidifier after reading many reviews both pro and con about it. Most of the time it runs quietly, but there are times when it could be more quiet. Got a great price match from Best Buy and also purchased their 4 year warranty at a reduced price. I purchased the extended warranty through Best Buy just to be safe because of some of the negative reviews

Frigidaire FFAD7033R1 dehumidifier replaced an LG model that became noisy and inefficient. This dehumidifier was rated very highly by one group, and I can see why. It removes so much water that we need to empty the tank at least once a day. It's very quiet. Fan does stop and start with humidity level. The outlet vent is on the right side, so we had to turn the dehumidifier so that the right side faced out into the room. Other than the vent placement, it's a great product.

Overall I am happy and satisfied with this humidifier. My lower level is about 1000 square feet and it does a since job dealing with the ongoing humidity. Also with the 3 fan speeds it allows for very quick resolution of humidity at the high speed with some noise but also allows for a quieter option on the lower speed with a bit slower resolution of the humidity but still very effective.

Pulls out a ton of moisture and its efficiency earns you a rebate from your electric company. My basement is about 1100sqf and gets very humid and damp (however no condensing or puddle anywhere and it doesn't flood when it rains). This machine alone was able to drop the humidity below 50%. However, it started blowing the GFCI outlet after about a week. I moved it to another outlet and it was blowing the breaker. I thought I had more time to bring it back so i waited to see if it would dry out if maybe I had splashed water on the inside of the unit when removing the bucket. I then missed the return window. Frigidaire would only give me a buy back at the price I paid for it less tax. Best Buy thankfully took it back after the return period was over and exchanged it. I have the new one going for a day now and its pulling tons of water out of the air and the basement is drying up again. We'll see what happens over the next couple weeks. There was no way to get all of my money back so i'm trying it again.

Matt, I'm terribly sorry to hear that your first appliance failed. Thanks for giving us a second chance. Operating a unit at the wrong voltage or in circuits with other appliances is dangerous. Outlets, wiring and circuit breakers must be properly sized for the unit and should only be installed by professional electricians. We recommend you contact a professional electrician if the matter keeps occurring. Best, Maggie Frigidaire

What a difference this dehumidifier has made in my house. I bought this to replace a 25 year old Kenmore dehumidifier. It runs so much less and I'm sure is more energy efficient.

Very reliable product. I purchased a Frigidaire 70 pint dehumidifier from Best Buy 5 years ago after having many problems with my Sears brand dehumidifier. The Frigidaire has worked perfectly for many years with zero problems. I have now purchased another Frigidaire 70 pint for my in-laws who were having problems with their Sears brand dehumidifier. I'm very happy with my Best Buy purchase and Frigidaire product.

I hate walking into other peoples finished basements and they usually smell damp. We do not have that smell from dampness since we have always used a dehumidifier. We've only had this one for 3 months, but so far it works great. We don't have a drain and don't want to run a hose off of to the bathroom, so we r emptying it every 3-4 days, and we keep it set at 45% humidity.

I bought this dehumidifier 2 months ago and I’m very satisfied. The humidity in my 1750 sqf apartment was very high and everything was very damp. After buying this machine everything was charged and no more dampness and I keep humidity level on 40 %. I run it almost 24/7 and my bill is $20 more a month. Your water and swer bill goes up too and is about $15 more but it worth it.

I researched this product to death before buying and it gets top ratings in its class. I have been happy with the humidity levels in my damp basement. Also good is that it has the ability to be plugged into a wall timer so that I have the control of how often it comes on and even tho it has an electric key pad it still comes right back on after the power has been cutoff to it... That was a huge factor for me.
