I've had this dehumidifier for 2-3 months and use it in an unfinished basement area near my well pump and water conditioner, set at 55% or 60%. I like its high capacity and easy carrying handle (I still have to empty it every day). So far, so good. The key will be whether it works NEXT summer, as my dehumidifiers usually stop working after the first summer.

Works well, runs quietly. Does everything we need it to do. Being able to attach a hose for drainage instead of watching/emptying the tank is a huge plus!

We live near the ocean and moisture is always present. I first bought a different brand to dehumidify our closet which worked for a while then failed. I found the Frigidaire at Best Buy and bought the 30 pint model. It worked so well that I upgraded to the 50 then this 70 pint model. We use three models in three separate locations. All Frigidaire and all work well.

Best purchase ever for our damp, musty house. Noticeable difference in comfort level in the house. The only blip was when the tank was full, the beeping woke us up at 3 in the morning! Easily resolved by not operating the unit when we go to bed. (Also, consider the option to attach a hose--additional purchase--and vent the water directly outside)

The unit is a trouble free performer, that is quite efficient, and relatively quiet.

This is the second Frigidaire dehumidifier that we have purchased. We considered published reviews and our own personal experience with the first one when deciding what to buy. I wish the tank was easier to empty without sloshing (fills pretty close to the top). I also don't understand why this one continues to run when it reaches the set humidity level; our first one did not do that. Overall, we are satisfied with this purchase.

If this review were based solely on the unit's ability to dehumidify the air and basic workings, it would earn 5 stars. At the moment I am using catch bucket to collect the water and this does seem smaller than an earlier generation model from 5-6 years back. Using the hose for continuous operation works well. The air filter does appear to be a course which may have been a change from the earlier generation unit.

My old dehumidifier died this spring. We have a large space in the lower level of our house including a large family room as well as a laundry room. It does get humid in the summertime so I have always run a dehumidifier. The Frigidaire is doing a better job than the last dehumidifier we had. It takes a lot of water out of the air and keeps the room comfortable.
