The Frigidaire dehumidifier works very well, has a low noise level and keeps my basement (abt 1000 sq ft) at a low humidity. I'd give this a 5 star rating except that my previous dehumifier, exact same model, only functioned for two summers. I bought the extended 4 year Best Buy warrantee in case this one gives up the ghost.

I purchased this Frigidaire dehumidifier on 7/13/2017 so I can only comment on it's performance since receiving it. To date, the unit has exceeded my expectations, performing as advertised. Compared with several dehumidifiers that we have owned over the years {usually lasting 1-2 years] this product runs circles around those in so many respects because of all the built in features: the 3 speed fan, adjustable humidistat, auto on/off, auto defrost - these are just some of the positives in my book. The drain hose hooked to the unit and directed into the floor drain truly makes our life easy - with the old units we would have to empty the bucket at least once, maybe twice a day. With the humidistat set to 40% our basement is now dry & must free. In summation, I am very pleased thus far with this Frigidaire. Time will tell if this was money well spent. If you are in the market for a feature rich dehumidifier for not a lot of money, then you should consider buying one of these.

This is a well made unit that is fairly quiet and is very effective. We can see and feel the difference it makes

My stand up crawl space with water vapor barrier was still at 100% humidity levels. In the midst of a very wet season, I installed this humidifier. Within a couple of days it had dropped to 80%, then down to 60% the following week. A month later, the humidity is now consistently at 40% or below!

So far so good. Felt a difference in the basement within 12 hours. Foundation and house needs work but this machine has made a definite improvement. Had some really bad rain for a few days in a row, normally it would be crippling humidity in basement....nice and dry with this machine.

On very humid days most air conditioners will not remove enough moisture in the home. The dehumidifier helps to reduce that to a comfortable setting. Especially those with upper respiratory problems. We have used dehumidifiers for years and have two of them in our home.

It's worth spending the money to get a quality product that works well and has the reputation for a long life.

Powerful and intuitive, this dehumidifier does exactly what you want. My basement was leaking during severe rainstorms recently, and the smell of mildew was getting pronounced. I knew I needed something to take out the excess moisture. This dehumidifier does the trick.

Has worked great so far. Need to set up something to take advantage of the hose because emptying the bucket can get annoying.

After returning the open box purchase (It ran but did not dehumidify), I purchased a NEW one. This time it worked great. I'm using a hose to a sump pump and just set the level I want and don't have to do anything more. It keeps by whole basement dampness under control.

We have to run two dehumidifies in our home as I have a bad back. The humidity bothers me. We have gotten both of our units from Best Buy this year. We like both units so far. Only thing that would be better if it had a larger storage tank. You have to empty it daily. So far so good.

This is the second Frigidaire dehumidifier I have owned. The handle on the bucket of my previous one broke after 4+ years. They have fixed the problem on the newer model. This unit does a great job of eliminating the humidity in our basement which keeps us from having to run our a/c all the time.

It's easy to set up and use. The only complaint that I have is that after the initial set up period where the machine is on non-stop for 2 days, it hasn't turned back on once. It says that my ambient humidity is 40% but other hygrometers in my house say that it's higher. When it's on, however it pulls a ton of water out of the air.

We priced and reviewed numerous humidifiers before purchasing. We have had no issues with this product to date. It may run for several days at first and only stop when the tank is full. It will then keep the humidity regulate to a small range.

The unit is working, but is filling up the bucket. The bucket has to be continually emptied which is every 6-8 hours. The hose attachment is not working properly. We have checked multiple times to adjust and the water is not draining through the hose as it should. We will have to return to get a replacement which is a hassle and should not have to be done.

giving 4 start instead of 5 because the cleaning of the water compartment is not easy scratched my fingers many times.. rest is all good.

I have had this for 6 weeks and have used it to keep my kitchen and in fact a large part of my house drier. I set is on constant for a while to dry out a wet spot and the inched the setting up to 55 which was where I was still comfortable, but the unit did not run all the time.

Running the 70 pt to drop te humidity in my condo. Great unit...looks good. A little loud on high, but acceptable. I would havenliked the onboard tank to be a little larger, but getting about 12 hrs on continuous run setting. It has made big improvement in living spaces. May buy smaller unit for my walk in closet.

Purchased for over 2,000 square foot basement. I keep humidity at 50 percent. Shuts off when set level is reached. This is the main reason I purchased this unit. Did not want a unit that had the fan running 24/7. Can't comment on longevity but I hope it lasts a long time.

I bought this dehumidifier to replace one that never seemed to be under the control of the humdistat . It would run for days regardless of the setting or the actual humidity. This one cycles on and off and seems to maintain a constant level of humidity and does so quietly.
