Customers are saying

Customers are positive about the 70-Pint Dehumidifier's performance, noise level, humidity control, and ease of use, with many praising its effectiveness at removing moisture and its quiet operation. However, customers are negative about the small water tank capacity, which requires frequent emptying, and some express concerns regarding the warranty coverage. The price is also mentioned favorably by some users. Overall, the positive feedback on performance and ease of use outweighs the negative comments on the water tank and warranty.

Fairly quiet dehumidifier, removes lots of moisture from the air. Collection container works well, but the hose port is fantastic for initial or constant (+80%) humidity environments.

Very easy to use, works great and is easy to empty. Does heat the room slightly where it is in use due to the exhaust from the unit, but well worth the amount of water it pulls out of the air.

    Good ... For a While

I purchased one of these back in 2015. For the first year, the machine ran great, and I was extremely happy with my purchase. After the first year was up, however (almost to the day), I started to receive an error code "F0". If you look around online, you can't find too many details about this error but essentially, there is a reading error related to the temperature in the system. At first, it didn't cause too many issues (the machine would freeze up every once in a while, and I would just unplug and plug it back in) - but eventually it became more frequent. I eventually called Frigidaire on the issue, and after a month of back and forth, they worked with Best Buy to get it replaced. I'm hoping that this new one will outlast the first one I had, but I ended up getting the Geek Squad protection, just in case.

Good product at a fair price. Very quiet. I would have given a 5 star rating , except that this unit does generate a fair amount of heat.

I purchased this dehumidifier to replace my old Whirlpool that quit working. It is very quiet and it keeps the humidity level in my basement at a comfortable level. I'm please with it so far.

Replaced a $2000 Sani Dry dehumidifier with this Frigidaire model. Does the job just as good. I've used Frigidaire dehumidifiers in the past and they have always done a good job.

It's a relatively quiet dehumidifier. The hose attachment is a nice idea but it doesn't really work that well. However, the design allows normal hose attachment to be installed much easier than other dehumidifier I purchased before

Does what it states - dehumidifies the air. Keeps house around 45% humidity. Automatic shut off when full but have the option to plumb it for continuous drainage should you want.

The controls are easy to use. My main concern with dehumidifiers is that they tend to stop working one month after the warranty expires, so for this product I bought an extended warranty.

I bought two units, one for our basement and one for the main floor. Have both been working great and really do the job. About the same noise level of other makes we have had before.

All the dehumidifiers at Lowe's and Home Depot sound like lawn mowers. Not what I want in my house. This one just sounds like a box fan, and can drop the humidity 20% in my 1600 sqft house.

I don't think the barometer is correct, as I have a standalone one that sits near the device and it typically registers between 3-5 degree lower than the dehumidifier. Adjustments are increments of 5% so if I go lower than 50% this never shuts off. So 50% really gets it down to between 45%-47%. It puts off a fair amount of heat too. I had a different brand before a few years ago, so its been awhile since I have owned one, but I don't remember it giving off that much heat. However, it was recalled, so its probably not the best benchmark. If removing water from the air is your game, this gets it done. I use a 50pint for upstairs and this 70pint I have for the basement. Recommend either one.

Order this off the site because it was an update to our old Firgidaire that got tired and died. This one is very quiet but the biggest improvement is the drain hose. It is elevate coming out of unit so it drain better. Great product.

    Dehumidifying!

Okay, I'm not used to needing a dehumidifier but moving to Michigan and having a basement that isn't waterproof sort of requires you to have one. After buying this new toy and emptying it a couple times (one or twice a day in the beginning) the smell and the overall feel in the basement is a lot nicer. The system does warn you when full and emptying is pretty easy. One tip is to make sure if you are trying to empty while it didn't stop, you should power down the machine first and wait a couple minutes before trying to take out the bin. If not you'll end up with water continually dripping where it should be caught and having to wipe up a mess. Other than that, I would recommend.

Simple to set up and operate. The continuous drainage system connects to a typical garden hose. I have a split level 4 bedroom house and this dehumidifier does the job.

This Frigidaire dehumidifier helps keep us comfortable by removing up to 70 pints of moisture from the air each day for powerful moisture reduction. The adjustable humidistat allows us to choose a comfortable humidity level.
