Customers are saying

Customers are positive about the 70-Pint Dehumidifier's performance, noise level, humidity control, and ease of use, with many praising its effectiveness at removing moisture and its quiet operation. However, customers are negative about the small water tank capacity, which requires frequent emptying, and some express concerns regarding the warranty coverage. The price is also mentioned favorably by some users. Overall, the positive feedback on performance and ease of use outweighs the negative comments on the water tank and warranty.

Has worked great since I plugged it in. Lowered humidity from 65 percent to 40 percent overnight. Has kept humidity at 40 percent, runs until 40 percent reached shuts off and starts again after humidity raises above 40 percent. Great unit!!

This is a quiet and efficient humidifier. Consumer Reports rated it highly and that is why we purchased it. It was a good choice.

It was super easy to setup and get it up and running. I can’t believe how much warmer my basement is now. I did purchase a separate hose so it could drain into my sub pump. Even the supplied fitting was easy and now I don’t touch it.

We had a hot water heater leaking in a basement for months and it became really humid throughout the house. We used this both on the main floor and the basement to pull the water out and it performed well. Would definitely recommend.

Works very well. Easy to set and forget, except for emptying the bucket, which holds about a gallon and a half. That could be about three tanks per day! I think it will be better once I can hook up a fixed drain. A little on the noisy side, but it's in the garage, so no problem. The side discharge makes it harder to dry hats and shoes on a shelf above it, the way I used to do with its predecessor, but I will manage it, somehow. I have already recommended it to my friends, and will continue doing so.

Have had it for a month and is doing the job. It is a little tricky to make it drain through a hose vs into the collection bucket. But is working well for the basement to remove extra humidity.

This dehumidifier really sucks out the moisture in the house. I use to have condensation buildup on the inside of my house windows. After the unit ran for about a week, I no longer have to wipe off the window condensation. The unit is a little loud but worth the results.

Have had many dehumidifiers and so far this one is the best. Set it up as a direct drain so don't have to empty the bucket. Have it set to low fan and 45% and basement is actually 40%. It is quiet and does not run constantly like others I have had.

Great item, with the automatic drain option, I never have to worry about emptying the bucket, Like Mr. Ronco says SET IT FORGET IT. LOL Does a great job in my basement of keeping the humidity down, so I don't have to worry about mold and mildew.

This dehumidifier is great for removing excess moisture in our basement. Operationally it is really quite compared to our old one. We've used it for several weeks now and are waiting to see how energy efficient it is.

We use this dehumidifier in our laundry room in the basement. We tend to line dry our clothes, rather than use the dryer. This unit works great. Our clothes are dry in no time and we're not adding unwanted humidity to our basement.

Finally we have found a dehumidifier that really works and has a tolerable noise level -- the FFAD7033R1. It was taking the humidity out of our basement so fast that we pretty much had to hook up the dehumidifier's continuous drain.system. We did this by carefully drilling a small hole into the top of our AC/furnace condensation drain that runs to the sump pump and properly routing the dehumidifier's discharge hose (not supplied) into it. Our basement is now wonderfully comfortable with no effort.

It has really made a difference with the basement. My biggest suggestion would be to connect the hose and let it continually drain. The bucket fills up fast and needs to be emptied at least once a day.

This unit is much quieter than our previous brand and took our basement from 60 to 45 percent humidity in a couple of hours then shut down until it sensed a need to turn itself back on. Great. The only con is the plastic drain hose connector coming out of the side of the unit. With a stiff garden hose attached it presents a rather large footprint and could easily suffer damage. We got a 90 degree garden house elbow for less than $5 and now it is all good!

This is a replacement for an older version which I really liked. This works well. I like that is has adjustable fan speeds and humidity levels. I like the light on the front to indicate a full bucket.

    Keeping our basement dry

We have a sump pump in our basement that runs regularly, even though we're higher than neighboring houses. But our basement air was still humid (bought a meter and was reading 65%+). The Frigidaire keeps it now within 5% of the setting, is quiet, and we drain it directly into the sump crock. More expensive up front than some others, but multiple stellar reviews pointed the way! Still working great after 2 summers!

This dehumidifier works very well. I have a damp basement and it did a great job of taking out the excess moisture in the air. It also helped keep the damp basement smell away too. Very pleased.
