    Fan speed has a mind of it's own. Fan switches speed from low to high and back again on it's own.

    The Frigidaire is quiet ad effective. Best Buy was great about honoring the warranty after it lost effectiveness the third summer. Always buy the extended warranty for these!

    Purchased this unit after doing some comparative shopping, and found the Frigidaire units not only scored better then nearly all other units in multiple on-line rating sites, but the quality was far above those I was able to inspect personally. The ease of use, quiet operation and efficiency of this 70 pint model impressed me. I have a log home with a full basement, and this dehumidifier more than handled the damp air. My wife and I are very pleased with our purchase.

    Shuts down every couple days "FO" fault issue

    It has stopped working giving us an "FO" faults after having it for about 2 years. It has to be unplugged and plugged back in it then works for a day or two and then stops and faults out again.

    I purchased this one as an exchange to older model that failed within a season. Good that I purchased geek squad protection plan. But now the newer model failed again with F0 code that started reapearing last summer and I did not pay attention. So I unplugged it and it started working again. So it happened couple of times. Now it stopped extracting water from air and produced ice near filter area (wow). Can't return this one since my geek squad protection plan ended 6 months ago. This is my second Frigidaire dehumidifier that barely lasted 2 seasons.

      JohnSilver, I am dismayed to hear your dehumidifier is giving the F0 error code, and there is frost building up. The F0 error code can occur when the ambient temperatures gets below 41°F, or above 96°F. The evaporator on the back of the dehumidifier is made up of coils that get very cold while the unit runs. The moist air from the room is drawn across those coils by the fan so that the humidity in the air condenses. If the air temperature is too cold, the condensation will freeze. You may want to unplug and turn the unit off for several hours. Turn a heat source on in the room as the temperature may have dropped below 41ºF. Move the unit to a higher location, since heat rises, and the floor would be the coldest area of the room. Raise the humidity % to a higher level as the unit may be working “too hard” for “too long” and needs to stabilize. If this hasn’t helped, please see your warranty coverage on the last page of your Owner’s Manual, and reconnect with us directly for assistance. *Ruth Frigidaire

    Purchased this dehumidifier in May 2015 for the basement. Worked great for the summer of 2015 and 2016. Now I get the FO message like many others. Unit turns on after I shut if off and unplug it but then resumes its FO message. A lot of money for only two years worth of "service." Will not be buying another Frigidaire. Instead will purchase another brand from Costco. With their 100% guarantee, I would be covered in this case.

    2 dehumidifiers, two failures.

    It lasted maybe half a year until the dreaded F0 error appeared. After following through on Frigidaire's various testing and repair suggestions, they replaced it free of charge. Unfortunately, the replacement failed a few days ago (middle of August 2020). It initially showed the F0 error then that cleared up but now it just blows air but doesn't remove any water from the environment. Might be a capacitor problem, might not. I'm pretty much done with Frigidaire dehumidifiers.

    Purchased this Model 70 dehumidifier in 2018. It failed within six months of operation. However, Frigidaire did replace it under warranty. Replacement unit has been working well to date. Purchased extended warranty from Frigidaire just in case this one fails. In all fairness to Frigidaire, I tried an HG dehumidifier before claiming the warranty on the original Model 70, but HG had defects out of the box, so I had to return it to Home Depot. I am giving Frigidaire a YES recommendation for this reason.

    Purchased a dehumidifier for over $200 and have had nothing but problems with it. In order to get a replacement we have to fill out a form, attach a serial number sticker, cut the electrical cord and take a picture of the cut cord for verification to the company. Then we either have to email these papers or put through the regular mail. As it took at least two weeks to receive it I'm saying we are without a dehumidifier for the time frame we really need it. Next time I'll go to a store and pick one out.

    I bought this dehumidifier about 2 years ago for $250. It stopped working a few weeks ago and despite trying all of the posted YouTube fixes, it continues to not work. I unplug it and it runs for a few minutes and shuts off again. I order a different brand and I am hoping for a better outcome. If you buy this product, get the extra warranty. I would not purchase this again or anything from this manufacturer.

    I bought this dehumidifier twice based upon the positive reviews and rankings. Both units failed after relatively short periods. The first unit lasted one summer and the second lasted two summers. This dehumidifier does a good job when it works. However my experience is that the unit is poorly made/designed and will fail. I would recommend purchasing a different brand and avoid Frigidaire.

    Bought this product in January 2017. Product worked through summer of 2017. Plugged it off for winter and turned it on for 2018. Product gives fault code F0!!!!! I don't know how a dehumidifier can fail after one year of operation!!!! Now, I have to shell out another $250 to get another dehumidifier. Will not buy Frigidaire products!!!!!!
