    It’s not even 3 years old and it stopped working. Lights are on but nothing works. Humidity display shows F2 but none of the buttons work, Very disappointed

    I have had so many of this dehumidifier. It dies every year after sitting idle for the winter. I’d get a replacement and the same thing would happen.

    This is my third fridigaire in 10 years ! Each one failed after s short time . This one worked but leaked continually. I am considering another brand maybe an LG?

    This unit didn't last 2 years. Got a free replacement through Frigidaire and now that unit has the dreaded F0 code.

    Quit working during the guarantee period and customer service with Frigidaire was unacceptable. I bought a different product.

    Previous owner of my new home left 2 dehumidifiers behind, both garbage, so I needed a new one to keep my basement under control. I saw all the positive reviews for this unit, and was also told Frigidaire are one of the top 2 choices for this type of product. I definitely concur with the positive feedback. This thing took my large basement from 85 - 55% humidity in a matter of hours, and has kept it that way. And that's with setting it to 60%! Not to be fooled by digital read outs, my basement feels NOTICEABLY way more comfortable and dry, not overly damp and cold like before. As a bonus, the unit is elegantly designed, with a simple and clean look, and does run MUCH quieter than the units left behind. To give some context, when I tried those other two, they were obnoxiously loud even with the basement door closed, easily heard while sitting upstairs in the living room. I can't even hear this unit, sitting in the same position, even with it placed closer to the basement stairs than the others. I have to open my basement door and take a few steps down to even make sure it's still working! I was so pleased, I committed to using a continuous drain hose, which improved its efficiency even more. Great product, would recommend and buy again! I hope it lasts a long time.

    The unit works well and quiet at the beginning, but failed just after 2 years. Google code 'F0'. It is a design failure.

    I recently purchased this humidifier and like it so far. It does a good job of lowering humidity levels in wet rooms. I typically leave it running until it fills up the water tank and automatically stops. It usually lowers the humidity level of the room by at least 10% during that time. The controls are easy to operate and it's also easy to remove and empty the water canister when full. The dehumidifier itself is heavy and hard to move unless rolling across hard surfaces. The wheels aren't very effective on carpet unless it's practically flat. It puts out quite a bit of heat, so I don't suggest using in smaller rooms. I used it in a bedroom and the temperature in the room reached 89 degrees even with the AC running before it lowered the humidity to an acceptable level. I'm satisfied with this unit so far.

    Turned on in my basement, approximately 1200 square feet, humidity went from 78% to 67% in 4 hours, set to continuous and high fan,seemed quite rapid and fan with great quietness.more later.

    We used this dehumidifier all summer long in our basement. It would take gallons of water out of the air and made our basement livable and clean smelling. No more funk coming from the basement during the summer. I also noticed our electricity bill decrease a few bucks per month when I swapped out the old unit for the new unit. Every little bit helps. This unit really did the trick for us. I need to attach a hose and feed it down the drain instead of emptying out the tray 2x per day. That would be a lot more efficient.

    A quiet dehumidifier with high capacity.

    This dehumidifier has a modern, stylish appearance. Does take two hands to slide out the water tank. Once removed, the tank has a good carrying handle. Of course it has a good hose adaptor which eliminates tank removal. I like the digital timer and the digital readout for setting the desired humidity level in 5% increments . The lowest of the three fan speeds helps reduce the noise level. The castors makes it easy to move.

    Buy the extended warranty on all dehumidifiers!

    It’s embarrassing how a person can’t find a quality, dependable, long-lasting dehumidifier anymore. I’ve purchased various brands of dehumidifiers throughout my life for different homes. They are getting less dependable all the time. Consumer Reports is correct that dehumidifier manufacturer’s quality control stinks and dehumidifiers are being build to last a maximum of 2 to 4 years. We are not dealing with a $50 item here. They should not be designed and manufactured as a throw away product that quits working in a couple years or less but they do. I am not big extended warranty purchaser, but with dehumidifiers I make an exception. I purchased the 4 year warranty...longest one they got. I highly suggest you do too. Nobody wants to work on dehumidifiers any more. Most just tell you that it would be cheaper to just go buy a new one. They are plastic pieces of junk. My last dehumidifier died in less than 3 years. Not sure about this particular brand/model since I just got it today. First impression is it heats the room up more than any dehumidifier I have ever owned. It raised the temperature in my finished basement game room by 10 degrees in about 5 hours of operation. It is air conditioned too. That is a big concern. I completely understand that dehumidifiers will increase room temps some but not this much. I have heard and owned louder and softer dehumidifiers so I will give it a mid-range rating on the noise while running. I do not like where the air leaves this dehumidifier in the back and not the front. Not sure where to place this in my basement gameroom. Can’t put close to a wall. Pretty decent amount of water collected. Finally, I leave you with this solid advise...purchase the longest extended warranty on any dehumidifier you buy. They are the worst dependable type of appliance made today.
