Customers are saying
Customers are positive about the 70-Pint Dehumidifier's performance, noise level, humidity control, and ease of use, with many praising its effectiveness at removing moisture and its quiet operation. However, customers are negative about the small water tank capacity, which requires frequent emptying, and some express concerns regarding the warranty coverage. The price is also mentioned favorably by some users. Overall, the positive feedback on performance and ease of use outweighs the negative comments on the water tank and warranty.

Finicky hose, but reliable workhorse
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Dehumidifier has worked well for several years, but the hose attachment we use (since we keep it running most of the time) is extremely finicky. The hose provided is tiny - only a few feet long - but bumping it at all could mean it stops working. The hose has to be set up so the water flows out of it naturally, by gravity, all the way to the drain. The filter is easily cleaned and it’s not too loud while running in the laundry room.

Great dehumidifier - made huge improvement
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We got this dehumidifier because the air in the house was getting very stuffy. The day after we turned this on, the second floor really became more comfortable. I really like the humidity sensor.

Great for Large Rooms
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We have been using the dehumidifier for a few months now with good results. It is very capable of getting the moisture out of a large room. We use it in our lower level, and that damp feeling is completely gone now.

Disappointment
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We've had this dehumidifier about a year now. Already the electronic controls have gone bad (can't change settings) and now it's begun to leak rusty looking water onto the floor. However it is still removing moisture from the air. The bucket has always been difficult to empty because of its weird design. Terribly disappointed with this product. Dehumidifiers we had years ago were so much better!

Try another one
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this humidifier in May 2018 and it worked until the beginning of August 2018 and was constantly set at 55%. It just stopped working and showed a fault code of "FO". It was sitting on a counter and emptying into a drain in a finished basement. The temperature was always in the low to mid 70's. The code stated that the basement temperature or the electrical circuit might be the problem, no problems with the electricity at all. Unplugged the unit and plugged it (like the manual stated) and it came back on and the fault code was gone. Two (2) days later I checked and there was water under the unit and saw that ice (hard ice) had formed on the bottom 3 to 4 inches of the coils on the back side. The water was coming from the ice as it started to melt (last time I checked ice does melt in 70 degree temperatures). I brought it back to the store and was told that they had to order another one and it would take approximately one week for it to come in. I had originally purchased the extended warranty and was told that I would have it placed on the new unit, but I would have to pay a few dollars for it because it was being pro-rated. I asked about it being still under the mfg's warranty period and was told that I still had to pay the pro-rated price to transfer the extended warranty. For a couple of dollars they have really made me think twice about buying anything else from them. JUST A NOTE: I had originally called Frigidaire when I had the "freeze over" problem and there customer service was great and did suggest that I bring it back to Best Buy. NOT too impressed about the whole "Pro-Rated" thing at all. If you get one, I wish you the best (buy) of luck.

Upgraded Review
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Once I received the correct part, the unit worked great. I love the way it shows you the actual temperature as it works its way down.

Does not operate as per company guide lines/manual
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Unit compressor turns off and on every few minutes regardless of humidity settings. This makes no sense and could ruin the component. We'll see. Buying this unit meant being very unimpressed with ANYTHING now on the market. ALL seem to be short lived -- some have even started fires. My intention is to have this unit serviced before the 1 year warranty runs out.

Stopped working after 3.5 years
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Worked great for2 years. Then the medicine would be off, with "FO" displayed. At that point i would have to unplug and then plug the machine back in. It would then run for a day, and would have to unplug and plug back in. Finally almost 4 years old, and it froze... There was a thick layer of ice on the lower section of the filter. Unplugged, let thaw, and it would work for a day. Then it was making electric clicking/popping sounds. So i unplugged it and won't be plugging it back in now, as it seems to be an electrical hazard at this point...ugh.

Get an extended warranty!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This lasted only 18 months (two summer season). What happens is when you turn it on, the fan turns on. A few minutes later the compressor turns on. Then about 45 minutes later the thing displays the F0 code. Most annoying is that the Frigdiair customer service rep admitted this is a common problem but because the warranty is only 12 months there was nothing they could do. I spoke with the supervisor, she had even less compassion. I guess Frigidiair doesn't care about returning customers. There is no way I can recommend this unit given the fact it known for have an "voltage" issue (code FO).

Posted .Yikes! I regret to hear of your dehumidifier experience, JoeT. The F0 error code concerns outlet voltage and the surrounding temperature. If you are getting this error message, please check that the outlet voltage is 115V+-10%, and the surrounding temperature does not exceed; at the lowest 41°F and at the highest 96°F. Please also try unplugging the unit for one minute, and then reapply power. ~Ruth

READ ABOUT FO ERROR CODES!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.WORKS GREAT FOR ABOUT A YEAR. FO error code is so common, just google it!! DO not buy - there are stories of people who replace these and the FO error code happens again. Although company says this is not an error code covered under warranty, the counter is that it's a Freon issue that should be under warranty for 5 years. Either way, the FO error is the kiss of death basally - the machine will turn on for about 30 minutes after being plugged in and then stops with the error code.

Posted .Oh no, Mary6949! I am sorry to hear that you are getting the F0 error. This code is actually covered by the 5-year sealed system warranty. If you are still within that warranty, please call us directly at 1-888-203-1389 M-F from 8a-8p EST. ~ Brandi

Dead after 1 summer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought Frigidaire FFAD7033R1 dehumidifier in May 2015. Turn off most of the winter in 2015. Failed to work in summer 2016. It turn on for a while then show F0 code. I had it just over one year, so it's out of one-year warranty. Very disappointing to pay $260 for 1 year use. Will try different company.

Lasted exactly 3 years
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Product seemed to work great until exactly 3 years after purchase...now it sounds like it's going to blow up/summon a robot army/won't take any humidity out of the air/won't shut off unless it's unplugged from the wall... I did buy the 4 year coverage plan so will be swapping this item out with a non-Frigidaire unit. I previously purchased a GE dehumidifier from walmart that only lasted 2 years, so I need to find a product with some longevity.

Unreliable product. Horrible warranty support.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had 2 units fail within the original warranty period. Getting a warranty replacement has been hugely aggravating. They repeatedly assure that a unit will arrive 7 to 10 business days from when the paperwork was submitted. Two months later I still don't have a unit and they say it was just shipped but will take 30 days to get here. My home's lower level has been suffering dampness through the whole summer because of Frigidaire/Electrolux. I will never buy another product made by them.

Not a reliable Brand and will not last.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Only used my Frigidaire FFAD7033R10 Unit for about 10 hours last year. Turned it off for the winter and this Summer when I turn it on it gives me an F0 error code. Customer service says because it has been 13 months since I purchased it they will not cover it under warranty. Basically a practically new $300 piece of garbage. Thanks, Frigidare for another disappointing Dehumidifier. I will be staying away from Frigidaire products in the future.

FO 2 units within 14 months
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this unit in May 2017 at Best buy. Bought the 4 year extended warranty. First unit quit with FO code in March 18. Replaced it and then the replacement had same issue in July 18. So I'm on unit 3 in a 14 month period. Looks like I will be a frequent visitor to Best Buy over the next 4 years, They won't refund except for store credit and since neither unit made it to the 12 month manufacturer warranty period they require renewing the 4 year period each time by paying a prorated amount for the period of warranty that has expired.

F0, F0, F0
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. One year of use before repeated F0 error codes after only 1-2 hours of use. How many times am I supposed to unplug it, wait and plug it back in? Should have kept the energy pig I had for the previous 12 years and just donated the $250 to Save the Whales. Am back on the market for a replacement. But it won't be a Frigidaire. Ever again.

Bought two. Both broke in 1 year.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought two of these. One for my house and one for parent's basement. Both got the the dreaded FO message on their display. One is slightly over 1 year old. The other is 3 days shy of one year. Tried to contact Frigidaire's online service for warranty info for the newer one. They transferred me to some sort of service info center that charges a fee for info. Never will I buy another Frigidaire product.
