The tubing connections are extremely difficult to connect and have fallen off a number of times so I have duct taped all connections. My other a/c window accessory is made of plastic and I have had for 9 years and not once has it given me a problem.

Posted .Oh no, Ed51! I hate to hear that your a/c isn't cooling properly. Please make sure that it is vented outdoors, you have it in cool mode, and on the highest fan speed. Make sure the vent louvers are open. If you still need additional assistance, please contact us directly. ~ Brandi

Posted .Uh oh, Cushtush! I am sorry to hear that your air conditioner is not working well for you. This size air conditioner should work well for a room that is 550 to 700 square feet. Make sure you are using the hose adapters that came with the appliance when installing the exhaust hose. Instructions for installing the adapters can be found on page 6 of the Owner's Manual. Posted .I hate to hear about your cooling experience, sourabh. If the room temperature is very high, the air exiting the unit may not feel cold. Air exiting the unit is usually between 17°-20°F lower than the Intake air, and may not feel cold to the touch until the room temperature is reduced. I recommend making sure that the unit is not too big/small for the area and change the thermostat setting to drop the temperature lower. I hope this helps! Kindly, Courtney

Installation was simple and the Air is definitely FRIGID. This AC cools my entire studio apt on low or medium setting. It also has a timer and swing option which is great! Please note: Window installation kit is also included. Specifications does not state this, so I was a bit Leary about purchasing it at first. But I called Frigidaire after I placed my order and they reassured me that the kit is included and it is.

It was easy to install and provided cool air right away. It however did not cool the room entirely due to the room being reall large. So I would recommend it for a moderately sized room.

Cools good, but gaps in window kit

But the white sliding extender in the window kit (the part you slide out for larger width Windows) has a huge gap on the top and the bottom. There is not enough foam that comes with this kit to fill the gaps. If you're going to buy this machine, buy more foam at your hardware store before you install it. Also I would suggest purchasing goo gone because when October comes and you want to remove the adhesive foam to close the window, the stuff won't fully come off without it. Renters be aware.
