Worse microwave ever didn't last long,fridge ice maker quit, microwave went from 2013' would NOT recommend frigidaire galley, quality is job NONE!! We thought they were better than others! For the name GALLERY??

Very nice looking microwave, cleans up easily, and has many different user options. Very spacious, and pretty quiet. Only complaint is when you are done cooking something the warning beep continues to beep until you open the door or hit the cancel button. Gets very annoying very quickly!

Looks Great; cheap; fits perfect in the cavity. Fan is very powerful, if you use it as exhaust for cooking on you stove. Works great so far. The door looks a little flimsy, have to be careful... We don't have small kids, so hope to last longer... It's a little small size, my square shaped plates can't turn inside with the turning table; they bounce at the side walls. Will fit the "normal" round plates. There was an EXTREMELY annoying beeping sound when done the job; couldn't bare this at all. My wife switched it off from the User Preference menu, so now is nicely quiet when done.. The quick start buttons(1-9) are not so quick(takes a second/two to start), so have to be a little patient... If it lasts for an year or more, will be very pleased with this appliance.

After 12 years, my old one died. Just found out that this is made in Thailand. I would have guessed Mexico. Everything is moving out of the US...sniff...but I read Bosch isn't but it is too late. But I bought a GE Fridge 5 years ago that DID NOT show fingerprints. THAT is my beef. I went to 2 stores and stuck my grimy, greasy fingers on practically every micro in the store. This was the only one that DID NOT show the prints. Heck, I don't have time to clean up after 7 people heating things all day long. (Yes, the economy has brought some kids and wives and their kids home, temporarily) But.....This microwave is just fine. Easy to clean, most fingerprints you don't see. All we do is heat things up. It's sharp looking and the outside is easy to maintain. Someone at Bosch needs to copy the outside effect this has and then I will buy one. (But honestly, I didn't see a Bosch where I went.)

This replaced an old microwave and compared to my old one, this one is amazing. It cooks really well and is easy to use. It took me about a minute to figure out you can TURN OFF the annoying reminder your food is done. Otherwise it will keep beeping until you open the door. .

I bought this as a replacement for another over-the-range Frigidaire microwave purchased in 1999 that stopped heating in late 2010. I presume the magnetron broke, but to fix it would have cost more than buying a new microwave. I bought the unit being reviewed here because it had good review, was the same width and a little shorter than the unit it was replacing, and was a Frigidaire with stainless steel matching my Frigidaire Gallery range and oven underneath. I had also been happy with the functionality of my old Frigidaire microwave, and it did last for 11 years. The new one fit nicely in the space; my brother-in-law screwed the metal brace into the wall (making sure to hit the studs) and the two of us snapped the unit into place (making sure the power cord went up through the cabinet above -- we had to drill a new hole for it because the old one was in a different place -- I'm not sure why Frigidaire doesn't have power cords in the same place on every model). We plugged it in and it's been working nicely ever since. The control panel offers many conveniences; press 1 and about a second later it starts cooking for one minute. Press 2 and you get two minutes; press 3 and you get three minutes. If you want an exact time, press 125 and start and you'll get 1 minute 25 seconds. Just press start and you'll get 30 seconds. It's a good system because it does not require separate buttons for 1-minute cook, 2-minute cook, etc. The door handle is stainless steel (my wife thinks it would look better if it were thinner). Pull it and the unit opens; you don't have to press anything to unlock it. The unit comes with a rack if you want to cook two things at once. As with my old unit, I did not install the rack and don't plan to ever use it. At least one reviewer complains that this unit beeps continuously until you remove the food you've just heated up, but that's an exaggeration. It beeps three times, waits a bit, beeps three more times, etc. I prefer this to a unit that doesn't remind you more than once when your food is done. It's not a loud beep.

I have had this unit for about 1 month now. Pros: It is visually very good looking. Works well also. Cons: It is rather bulky compared to the 10 year old GE model I replaced. At 1000 watts, the same as the old GE model, it seems to take just a bit more time to heat food. For example if GE model took 1 min, roughly feels like I need to put the food for 1 min 5 secs to get the same temperature. The biggest annoying factor is that after microwaving, it keeps on beeping (loudly!) for ever unless and until you open the door - really terrible.

This is a great performing microwave. My original GE lasted for almost 17 years, so my expectations were quite high, and I have not been disappointed at all. Installation instructions were very good, and the installation process quite easy. Included templates for screws/bolts/drilling were very accurate and helped tremendously.

This is my first microwave oven like this. I am retrofitting my kitchen so fo course there are alway lil issues on installing anything. The templates do a good job for placement of holes and brackets. I did over tighten one of the screwws that hold the top front corner on place. Went back to the hardware sort and got a slightly bigger screw and tried to make that work, that also stripped out so i drilled a second pilot hole close to the factory hole (about 1" twords the back of the unit). and that seem to give me back my support i lost from stripping the factory hole out. Thanks goodness I did not want to take it back with extra holes in it. First thing we tried was popcorn and it was awsome. ur old Oven just burend no water what we tried. So were happy with it thus far only had it a few hours

Well, I really like the look of the frigidare gallery, the line is beautiful. The coating helps keep smudges less noticable. The fan is loud, and it comes with a rack that according to directions is basically useless to the average consumer. But, it cooks very easily.

I installed this microwave above our stove in about 35 minutes. Of course we were just replacing one that was already there so the outlet was already installed and the hole was already cut for the plug. This appliance is not only good looking but easy to use and has many, many features that you will use almost every day. It cooks evenly and is a pleasure to use. I couldn't be happier with it.

I replaced a older Frigidaire Microware and so far the 174KF is working great. It seems to be able to pop popcorn perfectly, and the auto-sense feature is great. For example, want to heat up hot dogs? 1 to 6 of them at a time? All you have to do is click the "Auto Sense" button, and click 2 (legend is on the door - 2 = hot dogs). Regardless if it's one hot dog or 6, the microwave will sense the steam rate of the food and will only cook it as long as needed. Auto-sense is also tunable if it seems to overcook stuff - So far it has been perfect! Hot dog in a bun perfect. It's also easy to use. Just click the +30sec button and off it goes. No typing in 30 and hitting start. The mounting was easy since it used the same top screw locations as our older Frigidaire. The rear mounting did need to be replaced. So far we've been very happy with it!

this microwave is attractive, and easy to use. I am in love with the sensor cooking/reheating/ etc feature. This micro is so easy to use, in extreme contrast to the one I exchanged to get this one. Its appearance is sleek and modern and all the features are easy to find and use, even for someone who is not technically oriented.
