Had Frigidare Gallery series and it died after 11 years. Selection for same brand and series was limited. This model is great looking and I love the features -- it sits too low over the gas range and gets pretty hot - can't touch the handle w/o an oven mitt. At least it is all metal - no plastic to melt.

Great microwave, easy to use. The stainless finish is easy to clean no fingerprints. Only complaint is the beeper is very annoying...much too long.

It cooks well but has annoying features. The metal rack inside is a bother. According to the manual it is not meant to be left inside full time. So I had to find a place to store it. The inside light is very dim and so are the lights underneath. It runs loud. Much louder than my previous whirlpool model. The most annoying feature is the beeping alert when a cooking cycle has ended. The micro beeps until you open the door. I am not sure why this is necessary as once a cooking cycle ends in a microwave, the food can not be over cooked or anything. The non stop beeping drives me crazy. It is attractive but not real crazy about the unit otherwise.

We really like our new microwave. It cooks evenly and quickly. We really like the shortcut keys to make everything quicker. However we think that it is a little bit noisy.

Once you get used to it, it's fairly easy to use, but not as easy as my Whirlpool that this replaced. It's reheat feature works very well and is one push on one button! The only thing that drives me insane is it's end beeping! I wish that I could change it. It's either set on or you can completely turn it off! If you're sensitive to noise, then this is not for you!

Purchased in Dec 2011. So far love the microwave. I did a lot of research on brands and pricing. This was a great deal for me. All of the features have worked properly. Easy to keep clean. Works like a charm.

Can't beat the features for the price. Also looks great in our kitchen.

This unit was bought to replace one from a well-known brand. That oven was highly related by a certain consumer reporting organization. In less than a year the silvery plastic tape on the handle started to wrinkle from the heat and steam of things being heated on the range below the oven. the turntable stopped working, too. this new unit is made more solidly of better materials. I expect much greater longevity from it.

This piece shut down on us 2 days out of warranty. It could have even happened a week before which would have been IN warranty- but we used it so infrequently , its hard to say. Thats the worst part. We bought exactly a year before and we barely use it and it breaks!! Best Buy just shrugged their shoulders, like, "eh, sorry. Nothing we can do." Very disappointing. Now its a huge pain to uninstall, reinstall a new one.. etc etc

This microwave looks great and functions well with all the bells and whistles my family needs. It is easy to use and easy to clean.

We bought this microwave as a set, with a refrigerator and gas oven. It really looks nice and has easy to use features, and cleans up nicely. However, we are now taking it in for it's 3rd repair of the magnetron. and tube. The microwave is only 15 months old. The first reapir came within a year of owning it when the magnetron stopped working. We got it repaired under warranty. Several months later it died again and again it wa repaired under the repair warranty. Well here we are 6 months later and the magnetron bit the dust again . . . This time out of warranty. I spoke with Frigedaire on the phone and since it had a history of repairs, they have given us the parts for free, but to service the microwave is $160. Frigedaire offered us a $95 extended warranty, but between the extended warranty, and the repair of this, I could buy a new one with a full year parts and labor. Very frustrated with this microwave especially since it is only 15 months old. I have a 22 year old microwave that we keep in the basement and still works to this day when this one is in the shop. Could have gotten the lemon of the bunch, typically have great experience with firgedaire.

Microwave door didn't quite line up with the right side panel, but I went ahead and installed it anyway. Glad I did because the Geek Squad came out, was fantastic to work with, and had the door fixed in about 15 minutes. Great experience with the Geek Squad and would buy at Best Buy again knowing if there were any issues with what I bought they would be taken care of quickly and professionally.

Yeah, so I have had my new microwave for just two short years. It looks like mine lasted a little longer then most. I spoke with Best Buy "sorry, out of warranty, call the manufacturer" Frigidaire was very nice, but there was nothing they could do for me, not even offer a discount on a new one. They did, of course, give me the name and number of a repair business, I know how that goes,,,by the time I would spend $120 for a service call and the cost of parts, another service call to put parts in, I could buy a replacement microwave. To top it off, the part that broke is the thing that makes it a microwave (can't remember what is it called) so it seems there are several different parts on this model that like to break. I'm very disappointed. I read reviews on this model (outside of these reviews) and they all state that this model breaks just out of warranty. So there you have it, Yes, I love the sleekness, it matches my other appliances and it is smudge resistant (the best part), BUT IT DOESN'T WORK.

This seams like a quality product, many of the comparison items displayed in the store, the door did not line up well when closed, this one was very good. It was hard to decide based on other reviews, I narrowed it down to three and this one was looked like it was not as tall thus giving more room over the stove. Since they are not plugged in in the store it is hard to evaluate the controls and display. This one has a good display that is very clear and the controls work with little pressure. The store could not provide any information on a filler kit for each side since I have a 36" opening. I searched online and the matching kit was nearly as much as much as the purchase price. I made my own that match my cabinets. Installation was not difficult, but measure carefully and have to people to lift the oven. Best Buy had the best price I could find.

Works great and looks great, but the door latch broke after only 18 months. Did some research online and it looked like for $8 I could fix this myself, but when I opened it up the part that broke was on the door. Now the fix went from an $8 part to a whole new door at $140! To add insult to injury, the part that broke on the door was literally a tiny plastic hook that should not have broke. And this unit is lightly used...no kids roughing it up! In short, this was a 5 star product until a tiny $0.50 piece broke in 1.5 yrs. Our last unit was at least 10 yrs old before it died. Very disappointed and am buying a GE to replace this.

So far we have been happy with our microwave oven. It looks nice and has a good range of features.

I purchased the Frigidaire gallery microwave to round out the other gallery appliances. The vent fan is really loud to the point of almost being extremely annoying. But it does draw the odors and grease out well. The led display is much duller than the stove counterpart. On the good side, I love the sensor cook. Every last kernel of pop corn pops and is not burnt. It reheats food evenly without drying the food out.

Purchased this microwave based on reviews on this site and CR ratings. Microwave works as advertised and Best Buy price-matched a competitor for $315 plus tax. Installation was fairly straightforward, however, I ran into significant problems with provided damper flapper noise with exhaust fan running. Tried everything to silence the bad noise to no avail - the cheap/thin flapper kept striking the ductwork and created unacceptable noise. After consulting with my HVAC provider, I simply removed the flapper. Problem solved. I'd recommend the oven except for the damper flapper issue.

Works great, nice looking, easy operation, lots of space.
