For Frigidaire refrigerators only - this filter is really good for taking metallic taste out of water. Lasts almost 7 months to boot.

Does a great job of getting rid of the "tap water taste". Its a quick and easy change. It would get 5 stars if my ice came out crystal clear instead of the whitish color it has now. Even so, there is no sign of "floaties" or other contaminants in my water when the ice melts.

Great product!!! Purifies the water very efficiently. You can't taste or smell any city water treatment chemicals.

Frigidaire has changed this filter. I've had my refrigerator for several years and have always used the clear plastic version of this filter with success. To my dismay they had to change the design and totally encased the filter in a solid plastic so you cannot see the sediment that is filtered. Most importantly, they have changed the outside part that connects to the filter housing. It does not stay put and I have had to use tape to hold it in place. Yes, I have tape holding my water filter in place! I am very disappointed and have been looking for the older version of this filter with no luck. If you are looking for the one pictured here do not buy it from Best Buy. They are selling you the new version with the solid white casing which is defective or at least does not fit all Puresource2 Frigidaires. It is not Best Buy's fault but Frigidaire needs to fix this ASAP. Do a search and you will find numerous accounts confirming this issue.

Water had some kind of taste after installation. The taste didn't go away and had to replace it after 2 months.
