    Buyer Beware!

    Sometimes these filters work, sometimes they don’t. They leak or just pop out immediately after new installation. Appliance guy at Best Buy is aware of the issue but claims that filters cannot be returned or exchanged once the package has been opened. He said the Frigidaire refrigerator that this filter fits is referred to as “the waterfall” in the industry, but the product has never been recalled. If you buy this filter there’s a good chance you’ll be throwing away $50. I purchased this filter 6 months ago to replace when the old filter (that works perfectly) reached a year old.

    Nice plug-and-play design. Great taste

    I really like the way that these replacement filters easily eject with the push of a button and install by quickly sliding and securely snapping in to place. They are much more convenient than twist-in style filters that sit there leaking while you attempt to wrestle them off. The water quality is also very good tasting and remains that way for a very long time. I notice no change in taste during their life, even long-after the recommended replacement intervals.

  • I changed my Pure Source 2 filter and now the light is redThe filter status light on the front of the started out orange then turned red as I ran the water through. I tried a different new filter with the same result. It is a Side by side with a Pure Source 2 filtration system. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    Once the filter has been replaced and purged, hold the filter reset button down for about 5 seconds. If the indication light does not reset back to green, try resetting the unit completely. Unplug for 30 seconds, plug it back in. Thank you, Frigidaire

  • After changing the filter, does the water suppose to look dirty at first?I changed my filter but the drinking water came out dirty for a while. It stopped after filling a few cups.

After exchanging a water filter it is recommended that the water line is purged by dispensing 3-4 cups of water or until the water being provided by the refrigerator is clean.
