Very Good, If You're Into This Sort of Thing

An neat little thing. Feels premium, with a solid build and packaging that oozes charm. The games are stretched to 4:3 and that can't be adjusted, which I don't like, but the picture quality itself is good enough that it's not an issue at all. It's nice and crisp.
But it should be noted that it's a collectible first and a way to play games second. It doesn't hold its value if you look at it as a portable gaming console, but as a novelty for Mario enthusiasts it's great. The lack of a stand is a bit disappointing as well but it's a minor issue all things considered.

You get Super Mario Bros and Super Mario Bros 2 (Japan version). Lots of fun to be able to pick up and play quick. Screen is vibrant and clear. Screen is small if you are used to playing 3DS or Switch in hand held mode, but you get used to it quick. Light weight and fits in your pocket better than your phone. A little pricey, but that’s Nintendo for you.

This product was very small, a cellphone has a bigger screen. I do think it was overpriced because its old school Mario. With that being said, my daughter loves it and it’s easy to bring everywhere. She also has a 3ds but I think this is low maintenance so it stays charged longer. I only give it 5 stars because we do get plenty of use from it.

Awesome portable game. Screen is too small for most people, but I still have my eyesight. The sound and game play is identical to original system. I wish the red buttons were firm red plastic like on original Nintendo remote. But it is intended to be like the Game & Watch games of the late 80's. And they hit a home run, especially with the color screen, the USB-C charging and the battery life. Great Toy to lay around on the table and play a quick level when you have 3-4 minutes.

Really Fun a little over priced. But 3 Classics to take anywhere.

The Game and Watch: Super Mario Bros system was made to celebrate the 35th Anniversary of the Super Mario Bros game on NES. But I feel they also tried to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Game and Watch with this release as well. The console includes the NES versions of Super Mario Bros and Super Mario Bros: The Lost Levels (Known as Super Mario Bros 2 in Japan and on this Game and Watch system) as well as a version of the first ever Game and Watch game, Ball, with Mario as the player character. The Game and Watch also functions as a clock, and the clock feature has 35 secrets to find. The games also have little secrets as well, such as a new Infinite Lives mode in Super Mario Bros and Super Mario Bros 2 (The Lost Levels) and a way to play as Luigi in Ball. Overall the system is a neat collectible but isn’t necessary to own for the average fan of Mario. You can play Super Mario Bros and Super Mario Bros 2 (The Lost Levels) on Nintendo Switch via the Nintendo Switch Online service. It’s also a little pricy at $50.

This little piece of nostalgia is a great collector's item for Nintendo fans! The screen is little but crystal clear. The whole thing is wonderfully designed and I use it even as decoration for my gaming room. It has that old school retro feel to it. It's just another wonderful way to play the original mario :)

One of the nicest collectibles for those wanting some nostalgia for the original Super Mario Bros. Well built and love the fact that you charge it via type c. Screen is super clear. I guess my only complaint would be that it's fairly small for someone with big hands.

As soon as I saw this was announced from Nintendo, I knew that I had to have it because I am a long time fan and also had 1-2 Game & Watches growing up. This modern version ditches the button cell batteries for a rechargeable one via USB-C. The speaker is loud and crisp and the display is quite nice to display the 8 bit graphics we are all fond of. The D-pad feels as good as you would expect from the company and for the form factor, and overall the device has a solid build quality. It feels good in your hand and is fairly easy to handle and play. Only downside is that there are a small set of games included; I feel that this device would have been worth the price of admission had they included SMB3. That would have completed the package in my opinion, but otherwise this is a great collectible for all Nintendo fans!

I got this for the nostalgia value. Although it's small in size, the LCD screen is bright enough and sound level is great, making it really comfortable to play with. Battery life is excellent. If you can get one, do it!

Tons of fun with a great screen and lots of nostalgia. There is a cheat code for unlimited lives and yea I had to take advantage and save the princess again. I bought two so I could put one with my memorabilia.

This is a really nice nostalgic little game with a much improved screen over the originals. Battery life is great and game play is just as you remember it. Looking forward to the Zelda edition.

For $50 most would say this is a waste of money. Especially when one can play both versions on Super Mario Brothers on devices like the Nintendo Switch. For some that would be fine, but I find that when I play my Nintendo Switch, I find my self being distracted by other games to play. I applauded Nintendo for making a device that does one thing well; that is playing the original Super Mario Brothers. The device perfectly portable and I love the fact it can be charged by the same USB type C cable that many of Nintendo's newer devices are charged by. Less cables and chargers. Especially when one travels. Add in the that it will be nice collectible. For the Super Mario Brothers fan, it's a must have.

Really fun throwback to have in your hands to play the original super Mario. Pretty reasonable price and plays good. Has a built in clock to see the time. Plays different scenes when the clock is on.

This is for fans and collectors mainly. I like the two included Mario games. I grew up with the first game and have played the lost levels so I'm very familiar with them. They are kinda hard to play on this due to it's small size however, it's doable. The screen is clear and vibrant also has options to lower volume which sounds good considering its a very small speaker and brightness to conserve power. Which is charged via a usb-c cable that comes with it. Overall pretty neat if you like this kind of stuff.

I grew up borrowing Game & Watches from friends and played Super Mario Bros. with our first Nintendo System. This device had me nostalgic twice over in a single device. I guess Nintendo fans would purchase this as a collector's item (as I did). It doesn't offer much gaming wise. Build quality is good, sound can be loud (and annoying in Watch mode). Controls are small and uncomfortable after playing long hours. The screen is really small though -- but better compared to playing Lode Runner on an iPod Nano screen. If only Nintendo would offer uploading of other 8-bit games then this device would be a steal for its price.

Love it, super charming and really fun to play Mario on. It's really cool to see these kinds of throwbacks, and it's refreshing to play on a device that does very few things. There's so much that can distract you on a modern PC or console, this is like having your first gameboy and only having a small handful of games to play. No internet, no updates, no settings, it's great.
The tiny updates to the games (like being able to jump back to the last world you were on & start with unlimited lives) are really great, and it's pretty fun to be able to take it out at any time and instantly be playing mario.

Most would probably say the price isn't worth what it can do but if you are a true fan it won't matter. Plays all 3 games fine, and the clock functions are cute.
