Big name actors, but really is a flop of a movie. Save your money

Couldn't get into the movie. Didn't finish watching it.

This is a movie that I thought was the best movie on DVD or Blu Ray I have watched in 2010 witch only consist of January so far. If you like action this is the movie for you. The plot is also a bit unique centered around convicts giving up control of their motor functions so that other people can play in games with their bodies while the convict is aware of his or her environment. The Blu Ray version of this movie is complementary also providing the high def sound format DTS HD Master Audio. If you have a good home theater set up and are able to play the high def sound tracks that come on blu ray movie disc, you will be able to enjoy the other aspect of all movies a lot of people miss out on which is the sound. The surround sound in this movie is so good it makes you feel as though you are in it. It was simply awesome. In my opinion, the sound is just as important as the video. I believe that you should not only focus on buying the best tv set possible but also focus on being able to take advantage of the surround sound sound tracks that come on most movie media. As with this movie if you don't have this capability, you are missing out on an even better movie experience. The sound can often turn a bad movie without it into a good movie when listening to it in surround sound. I would recommend this movie to anybody for its action, plot, and surround sound.

Over all very interesting movie, Love Gerard Butler, great upcoming actor. Would recommend to adults, not kids under 14 - sorry. The movie constantly keeps you wondering what's going to happen next. Thumbs Up

Anything with gerard butler has either great comedy or great action this is one not to miss except for Ludacris acting it is an exceptional movie rappers should not do movies

I watched Gamer in 2D mode when it first came out for purchase on Bluray. I have to say that the 3D version woke the movie up. Great job!.

As a video gamer myself I appreciated how they made you feel as if you were in the game controlling him, yet still kept the movie aspect in it (phenomenal in blu ray). Overall the movie was wonderful and i truly enjoyed the ending.....

The 3D here is pretty good, giving a sense of depth to the frenetic action scenes.

When I saw the trailer to this movie it looked a lot better than the movie itself.Gerard Butler(300) does an ok job playing a convict named Kable who escapes the real life and death game to find his wife and daughter,and kill the villain.The action in this movie is pretty good,with the environments looking like one giant battlefield,but the acting from other actors was just too plain.Michael C.Hall(TV's "Dexter") is the creator of the game,he plays as the villain Ken Castle.He was not at all enjoyable even for a villain,he just looks like one of those guys who they just said to,you wanna play a bad guy in this movie?This movie reminds me of "Crank" with the weird camera angles,oh that's right the directors of that movie made this movie.I would say rent before you buy.

I have seen this movie before, but for the price I bought it because of the 3d.

Gamer is an awesome movie. I watched in theaters and bought the blu ray the day it came out. For anyone who plays first person shooters or war games this will be one of their top all time films.

The plot is OK and the filming was good but it is very bloody. Blood, guts, and gore through the whole movie. Great if you like that stuff. Too much for my taste.

This is a great action movie. A little weird though. I don't buy Michael C. Hall as a villain but look at Dexter.

I thought this movie had a great concept that helped its plot. The acting was good and the actions scenes were also good as well
