Amazing controller, so smooth and buttery. Must buy.

If you want something that feels genuinely built for competitive PC gaming instead of just another “pro-style” controller with flashy marketing, the GameSir G7 Pro absolutely delivers. I’ve spent the last week using this Black/Gold XiaoHai edition across shooters, fighting games, and racing titles, and the first thing that stood out was just how responsive everything feels. The 8000Hz polling rate isn’t just a spec sheet flex. Inputs feel immediate, especially in twitch-heavy games where timing matters. Even wirelessly over the 2.4GHz dongle, the controller felt shockingly low-latency. Pairing it with my PC was painless, and the included charging dock made the whole setup feel premium right out of the box. The Black/Gold Champion Edition design also looks far better in person than in photos. The matte black shell mixed with the metallic gold accents gives it a high-end esports vibe without looking overdone, and the XiaoHai-inspired details make it feel unique compared to the sea of generic black controllers on the market. The controller has a comfortable weight to it, and the textured grips helped during longer sessions without feeling too aggressive on the hands. I especially liked the included alternate D-pads since switching between genres actually made a noticeable difference depending on whether I was playing fighters or platformers. Performance-wise, the Gen-2 Mag-Res TMR sticks are easily one of the highlights. They feel incredibly smooth and precise, with tighter control than most standard Hall Effect sticks I’ve tried. Small aiming adjustments in games like Apex Legends and Valorant felt controlled and consistent, and knowing they’re designed to resist stick drift is a huge plus for long-term use. The trigger stop system is another feature I ended up using way more than expected. Swapping from analog Hall Effect triggers for racing games to clicky micro-switch triggers for shooters takes seconds, and the tactile difference is immediately noticeable. GameSir’s Connect software deserves credit too because it’s actually useful instead of bloated. Setting up custom profiles, adjusting stick sensitivity, remapping buttons, and creating macros was straightforward. The four programmable extra buttons add a lot of flexibility without getting in the way, and I liked that the rear buttons can be locked if you’re prone to accidental presses. The controller also surprised me with how good the rumble felt: the dual asymmetric motors provide sharper, more controlled vibration feedback than I expected from a PC-focused esports controller. Add in 3.5mm audio support over both wired and wireless connections, motion controls, and the included accessories, and it feels like a genuinely complete package. At its price point, the G7 Pro 8K PC Champion Edition feels like GameSir trying to compete directly with premium controllers from bigger brands, and honestly, they did a great job. Between the ultra-fast polling rate, premium switches, drift-resistant TMR sticks, and thoughtful customization options, this is one of the best enthusiast PC controllers I’ve used recently. In short: If you’re serious about competitive gaming and want something that feels faster and more customizable than a standard Xbox controller, this one is easy for me to recommend.

The GameSir G7 Pro 8K Wireless Controller is a solid choice for PC players. I have used many controllers over the years, and although I wasn’t familiar with GameSir, I was pleasantly surprised with how well it performed. Inside the box, you get the controller, a 2.4GHz USB dongle for wireless play, a USB-C cable long enough for wired use, a small instruction manual, and a set of magnetic faceplates. The packaging is simple but everything included feels useful and well made. The dongle has a standard USB-A plug, the cable is long, and the faceplates fit securely. The controller feels similar to an Xbox controller in shape. It has a balanced weight, grips with a slight texture to prevent slipping, and buttons that respond well. The magnetic-resistant sticks move smoothly and don’t wear out like regular sticks. This is important because I’ve had problems with stick drift before, especially with kids using controllers roughly. One key feature is the 8000Hz polling rate, which works in both wired and 2.4GHz wireless modes (not Bluetooth). The controller is very responsive, especially in shooter games where precise input matters. Movements felt quick and the low input delay made it feel like the controller was directly connected. It felt faster than other controllers I’ve used. You can connect the controller in three ways: wired USB-C, 2.4GHz wireless, and Bluetooth. This lets you use it with a PC, phone, or Nintendo Switch (but not Xbox or PS5 yet). You can customize it with GameSir’s software, which lets you remap buttons, adjust stick sensitivity, change trigger behavior, and set vibration strength. One caution is that downloading the software required scanning a QR code, and my browser’s malware guard flagged some warnings because the software is from China. Some web pages needed translation too. Overall, the GameSir G7 Pro 8K Wireless Controller is a good controller that offers solid value. Its magnetic-resistant sticks, multiple connection options, and high polling rate make it responsive and durable. As someone tired of replacing controllers due to drift, this one is a welcome change. In terms of performance and features, it stands out among competitors.

Product feels cheap and only lasted me 2 months before i cant ADS anymore, the plastic feels flimsy and the type C connection was finicky. If you wanna light $90 on fire you’d probably be better off.

I gave this controller an honest shot and wasn’t a fan the battery life is terrible, the software is clunky, and the all around feel of quality is not up to par.

The controller works really well connected to my gaming rigs and laptops. So far, I’ve tested on an Alienware Aurora 16, a Dell desktop, and my work laptop (a Dell XPS w ARC) . The 8K polling is amazingly fast and performance wise across the board, this tics all the boxes. The ergonomics feel really good in your hand and I experienced no cramping from long-term playing like I get sometimes on other controllers. The build quality is extremely good, but the aesthetics to me are atrocious. I know beauty is always in the eye of the beholder, but I would never buy a car in a color that I didn’t like no matter how well it performed. I think they really need to work on their colorway because this just looks cheap next to my state of the art gaming machines and the colorway does matter because it affects my buying decision on this otherwise terrific controller. I do love that this controller uses hall sensors so stick drift is a thing of the past which was a really big problem with some of my past controllers. If you’re looking for a really fast, 8K, hall sensor equipped, hand controller, and you can stomach the gold and black with some dudes signature on it, then I think you will like this.

I was very impressed with the GameSir G7 Pro controller for PC. This was my first GameSir product I've ever used, and I was not expecting this high of quality from a brand I've never heard of, and especially at this price point. The controller comes with a charging base, usb-c cable, wireless dongle, and 2 extra dpad covers. The usb-c cable is a nice quality, 3m cable that is color matched in the same gold/black color scheme as the controller, so it looks really nice when plugged in. The controller itself is feature packed with features that both professional and novice gamers alike will appreciate. As stated before, you get 2 extra dpad covers, for a total of 3 different dpad styles, so you get to pick which feels best to you. The analog sticks are "Mag-Res TMR" sticks, which I have no idea what that means, but they claim they are drift proof. So I'll take it. They feel really nice whatever the tech they use it. And the thumb grips are a nice texture which provide the perfect amount of grip during gameplay. The face buttons have micro optical switches, which basically means they are very clicky feeling, like clicking the mouse button on a nice gaming mouse. The dpad buttons have this same click feel and is very responsive. The triggers are hall effect triggers and feel nice and smooth. You can turn them from triggers to buttons with the flip of a switch, which is a nice option to have and one I've seen on controllers that cost twice as much. There are also a couple of mappable extra buttons around the back of the controller as well as next to the bumper buttons. The charging base has a little compartment on where you can plug the wireless dongle so that the base can also act as the wireless receiver so you can save a usb-port on your system. There's also enough space to store one of the extra dpad covers, but not both. Performance wise, I tested this controller out on a variety of different games, from racing, to fps, to action games. It really performed well in every game I tested it with. The triggers were super responsive and sensitive, exactly how you would want in a racing game to really have good control of your car. The analog sticks are super precise, even in intense fps matches. And overall it was just very comfortable and easy to use in all of my testing. I really couldn't be happier with this controller. For the price, I'd be hard pressed to find another controller that packs in as many features and performs as well as the GameSir G7.

Short answer: The GameSir G7 Pro Game Controller offers premium feel and features at a very modest price point. Solid build, great feel, mappable buttons, awesome response, vibration and motion control. And a very budget friendly price. I am a PC gamer. I had tried a cheap wired controller instead of the keyboard, but was unimpressed. Convinced to try a better controller, the GameSir G7 Pro Controller jumped out. What a difference! Unboxing was simple, box contains the controller, base charging stand, usbc cable, and wireless dongle. The controller can be connected to your pc wired, bluetooth, or dedicated dongle wireless. I chose bluetooth. The base connected to a PC usb charging port. The dongle stores in the underside of the base, keeping it from getting lost. Install the Nexus app for mapping (more later) and you're off and running. The controller has a nice solid feel, slightly heavier than the wired controller, but without the wire it's much less clumsy and tiring to use. Tried the controller with several games, first person shooters, RPG's, and flight. There was absolutely no drift or response delay that I had experienced with the earlier wired controller. All the controls had a nice positive feel. Movement was very precise, never felt like I was accidentally moving somewhere. The motion control and vibration worked really well, although the motion control might not be to everyone's taste. The Nexus app is a companion app that provided programming options for the G7 Pro. It really is necessary and not just a 'nice to have'. It allows for multiple profiles to map the buttons to specific functions, kind of a macro facility, which makes some complex operations much simpler. It is available from the Microsoft store. It was a little fiddly the first time I used it(first time, it took a bit to recognize and connect with the controller), but once set up it works fine. All in all, I'm really pleased with the GameSir G7 Pro and it has restored my belief in game controllers. It should definitely be on your short list, especially at the price point. Highly recommended!

I've used a number of GameSir controllers and always come away impressed with the build quality and innovative features that they include at a generally very reasonable price. This particular controller is an interesting example of that - while the price isn't LOW per se, this is a PRO controller, and with that in mind, it's still a good value. And it's a GREAT controller. The two analog sticks are TMR sticks, so they have great performance, responsiveness and no drift. And no deadzone as they both test out with 0% rotational error - ZERO. The face bottons and shoulder buttons are microswitches with just the right amount of clickiness but ultra fast response (and this includes the extra mappable buttons as well which are easy to map in the GameSir Connect software). The d-pad comes with three options - a traditional cross, a disc type or a hybrid between the two. All use the same super responsive microswitches that are super responsive. The triggers have a special trick - while they're by default the standard analog triggers with great range (and hall sensors for accuracy and long life), but then just a switch away you can set them to microswitches for fast response in twitch shooters. Connectivity is awesome over bluetooth, a USB wired connection OR with the 2.4G dongle that's included (USB-A). Over wired ot 2.4G you get the faster 8k polling rate which is nice / no lag. The charging dock makes it easy to keep the controller powered up and the battery life seems to be very good (I haven't had it run out in a gaming session). You can also put the 2.4G dongle in the bottom of the charging dock and then just connect THAT to your PC to get power and connectivity. The design pattern is awesome on this one with a black and gold signature color scheme. I'm not as familiar with the pro gamer featured here, but the theme is well done as is the iconography. So if you're in the market for a pro controller at a less than pro price - but still one that's well made, durable and has ALL the features you could want, this is that controller. Give it a try today!

I’d honestly never heard of this company before but after receiving this GameSir G7 controller I don't know if I’ll go to any other! Fresh out of the box this controller looked and felt premium. After a quick charge I was able to connect it to my PC with no problems with Bluetooth. But then I read that there was a whole customization suite available to download from their website. So I did that and plugged the controller in to access it. And everything from button mapping to sensitivity tweaking can be done within minutes! Even the colored lights that spin around the main button can be customized to fit your style! And you can save 4 profiles, so if you have different games that need special maps or sensitivities, you can have those ready to load up in no time. The controller also comes with a detachable faceplate for when new ones become available you can customize it further. And 2 alternate cross-directional buttons to fit your playstyle make it so you wont have to worry about missing a cue or navigating menus wrong again! Now playing with it I noticed zero lag even in wireless mode. Which is tremendous in games where split second timing is a must. Truly a competitive gamers dream, especially if you plan to play against people who prefer mouse and keyboard. This is hands down the best controller I’ve ever used for my PC. I would recommend it to anyone looking for something that’s customizable and remains competitive.

I was in need of a new gaming controller for my PC after dealing with issues of “stick drift” on my go-to name brand controller. Thankfully, GameSir G7 has a calibration method to virtually eliminate any “stick drift” that may occur. The controller can be connected via three methods: Bluetooth, USB-C cable, or 2.4GHz wireless dongle. I normally would connect a controller via Bluetooth, but I started to get tired of waiting for my previous controller to power up, find the PC Bluetooth, pair successfully (75% of the time…), etc. With the GameSir, I opted to use the 2.4GHz dongle and I can not be happier. Once I take the controller off the charging stand, it immediately connects to the PC and I can get right in a game. With regards to gameplay, every button felt very responsive and I have no issues with reaction times. There are a multitude of additional buttons that can be customized also. The remote is marketed as having an e-sports grade usability, although that is not my area of expertise when it comes to gaming. However, after putting the G7 through the wringer in other types of games, I can see how it would definitely benefit the esports crowd. Overall, I prefer this controller over any others that I have used in the past.

What an awesome controller. I got this for my PC actually but my son uses it on the xbox as well. I have been playing Hades II on PC for this review. Setup was as simple as pluging in the USB adaptor to my PC. This gave me basic functions and I was off playing my game! There are several programable buttons(2 rear, 2 shoulder. I like this over the 4 rear! Buttons on this are smooothhhhh. It can only explain it as soft press. Almost cushioned. You do get optional D-pad inserts. I kept the default. I love the charging cradle. Looks nice on my desk and give me a "home" for my controller. And I dont ahve to trace/find a cable to charge it when i'm done playing. Especially since my gaming sessions are quick 15min intervals! Controls are nice and responsive. I haven't noticed any lag. Its builts sturdy and textures feel great. Lots of little optiosn to setup to your designed playing style. Overall, Best PC controller I've used (including elite2) Looking forward to using this for the forseeable future. New favorite!

The build quality of this controller is great. It’s made of a durable plastic. The front of the controller is a slick plastic, while the back of the handle, the triggers, the bumpers, and the edges of the thumbsticks have a textured pattern to increase grip. The buttons are great. It’s worth noting that they are not membrane but more akin to the click of a mouse. At first I was unsure whether I would like it, but once I got used to it I really enjoy it. It feels very responsive to my input. The dpad is the same type of click, it’s good but I think I would prefer the membrane feel for that. In terms of buttons, in addition to the standard included buttons, it also includes two additional shoulder buttons and two buttons on the back of the grip that can be reprogrammed using GameSir’s software (or the m button on the front of the controller). One thing I love about this controller is the triggers. There are switches on the back of the controller that lock the triggers and effectively shorten the distance between press and response. It’s great for reflex heavy gaming like first person shooters. The thumbsticks on the controller are great. According to GameSir they are TMR joysticks, which should hopefully prevent long term issues with stick drift. The d-pad is swappable and the controller includes multiple options to swap between. I’ve been enjoying the round option. Also, the front plate of the controller is swappable as well so you can switch to a different style. I do like the gold color and pattern that comes with it, but I could see myself buying additional options. The controller also includes a dock. The dock charges the controller and has a built in USB port for the dongle. In other words, you can connect the dock to a device using the included cable, put the wifi dongle on it so it only takes up one port. The included USB C cable is braided and matches the controller perfectly. Also, the controller also includes a removable piece of plastic to protect the usb port from being bent by the cable. One of the most appealing things to me about this controller was the connectivity and the 8k polling rate. I love playing wirelessly but am always concerned about increased latency. Latency is not an issue with this controller while using the 2.4ghz wireless dongle. I noticed no perceivable latency when using it. It also offers Bluetooth and wired connectivity as alternatives to the 2.4ghz. Also included in the connectivity is a place to connect your headphones. Battery life on this controller is great. I didn’t have to charge it during my testing, and think it would easily last during a marathon gaming session. I tested this on a number of games, including cyberpunk 2077, pragmata, and windrose. All let me put this controller through the paces and I was very happy with the results. It’s a great controller at a great price with tons of great features.

OK, so for this price range, I love this controller. I have a regular Xbox controller that I have always used. In the past, I used to use self-tapping screws and made my own trigger stops. But that would create more weight. Plus, I either had to have another controller or take them out if I played racing games. With this, I no longer need to do that. It has a button to press that allows you to have full trigger motion or partial for shooter games. I love how the controller looks and with the gold and black also a great theme. I love that you can easily pop off the front plate which allows you to swap out the directional button with a couple other styles if you want. I always forget about the 2 buttons on the pack as well as the 2 on the top. I am used to a controller without those. But when I do remember, they are great to have. easy to use with the placement they are in. This allows you to map the A and X button to the back so that if you are in a gun fight for a shooter game, you do not have to release your thumb to press those buttons. I mainly play sports games, and racing games with controller. Not so much shooter games. I did try out games such as Fortnite, COD (just with bots), and Gears 5. Those all did well and response was great. I also mainly used the BT function and that seemed to work great. This allowed me to not have to use up a USB port. My biggest issue I had, was that my PC saw this controller as a PS4 controller and some games like some EA sports games, seemed too not recognize the controller. While other games did recognize it but then had a ps4 layout and would show the ps4 buttons to press. I would also have liked a case for it but neither of those affected my rating. I still love using this controller when I am able too. Not sure if some of those are thru steam settings. Just beware if you do buy this for your PC that you may have to dig around to get it to work. I just moved on and played other games that did work. Hopefully this controller will last a while, and I get plenty more use out of it. If you already have an Xbox brand controller and just looking for another controller, I recommend this. If you do not have an Xbox brand controller, I would suggest one first, just to have a controller that will work easily with every game, and then this as a second controller.

This is a very nice PC controller that works identically to the Xbox gaming controller. I have always owned a PS5,d so this worked a little differently than what I'm used to, but it was easy to adapt. The controller can work wired or wirelessly, but it seemed to work better when connected wirelessly. Using the controller when wired made my computer glitch. As for how easily it connected to my computer, it took some time to figure out. The Bluetooth connection did not establish right away because the controller was not recognized. I figured out that you had to put the controller into Bluetooth mode, connect it via a cable, and then connect it via Bluetooth. Once connected, it worked smoothly. I was able to connect each time without issues and play without delays. The controller feels very high-quality and comes with a cool stand that can also charge it. The USB also has a neat little feature that lets you disconnect the controller while holding down the button on the USB. The pad on the controller is removable and can be switched with 2 other styles that come with the controller. The controller is a nice way to play PC games without a keyboard, especially for games that work better with a controller than a keyboard, such as Madden, NTWA, and shooting games like Call of Duty. I would def recommend this controller. I also think it can be connected to an Xbox, but I'm not quite sure since I don't own an Xbox.

This is an amazing controller, and one that really hits the right points in terms of feel and accuracy/responsiveness. First thing I noticed right away is how responsive the controls all are, including the D pad which actually works well. There are a number of controllers I have tried over the years and I've yet to try one like this one. The gyro definitely adds a level of precision to aiming and other movements that other controllers just can't. So far I have found very little about this controller that I don't like. With the software, you can completely customize this control to your needs and really get a customized experience that really is essential to be competitive in many game titles. It comes with extra d-pads and a charging station which makes it super easy to keep this controller charged up and ready to go for your next gaming session. The included collector card is pretty cool and a nice touch but the real reason to get this controller is the customizability it offers and how responsive and tight the controls on this controller are. I'd absolutely recommend trying this one out, I so far have loved using it and can't find anything I don't like about it.

Despite me being a PC gamer, I use controllers for my gameplay. I'm a Playstation convert so I just couldn't get used to mouse and keyboard when making the switch :( Using a vast variety of controllers in my time, I've had the opportunity to use controllers from a variety of manufacturers. While the OEM controllers are nice, they generally don't last long and often break down pretty quick from my experience. This GameSir controller was pretty nice looking and offers some features that are better than your normal controller. The controller has a a couple mappable buttons both underneath the controller as well as 2 more near the bumpers which is cool. I find the paddle buttons are relatively easy to push and aren't too out of the way when gaming. The optical buttons is interesting as well as they're supposed to last longer than your analog buttons liek with OEM controllers. Haven't had this controller long enough to test this but it's one of the things I'm looking to track with this controller. Probably the biggest feature for me is the "ANTI stick-drift" claim from this manufacturer. Biggest issue I've had with other controllers is stick drift. Hopefully this one will last longer than OEM controllers did.
