Gamesir needs to fix its buggy app!

I'm dissatisfied with this controller after 275+ hours. Despite its feel, there are issues like left stick drift that I encounter with the controller being fresh out of the box and they persist even after firmware updates. The Gamesir app is buggy, and the controller sometimes causes my raider to move on its own when I check my inventory and my gun lets off rounds on its own multiple times, risking my loot in Arc Raiders and Marathon. I had to disconnect and reconnect this controller multiple times to stop the left stick from moving up and down all fast l and crazy, and even a drift stick check website shows no problems so I think it's definitely the Gamesir Nexus App. I plan to exchange it, blaming defects rather than app or firmware flaws, and consider switching to the Flydigi Vader 5 S if issues continue.

The best controller out with a few minor gripes

I've tested and played games with this controller on a Windows 10 and Windows 11 PC. This controller is a true 1ms latency lag, 1000hz polling rate controller. Some advertise this, but upon testing...don't actually come within 995+hz polling rate. This one does, and Gamesir did a great job with this one. Pros: - Great performance (1ms latency, 1000hz polling rate) - Wireless dongle performance is just as good as wired performance - Excellent TMR sticks, triggers and good ergonomics - Impressive design of the faceplate - Remappable back buttons - Four profiles to configure within the Gamesir app, with the ability to change profiles quickly during gameplay. Cons: - a few issues with software. Occasionally I've needed up to unplug and replug the controller for it to be detected on my PC. - Although you get four profiles to set with the controller, there is no visual representation of which profile you are currently on. Other controllers allow you to customize RGB to facilitate this, or a number of lights in the middle of the controller. Gamesir has done this as well. But with the G7 Pro, you'll need to press a button you remapped before to determine which profile is active, or check the app. - This controller is only wired on a Xbox console, with wireless option via dongle on more expensive, partnered versions for games like Wuchang Fallen Features and Zenless Zone Zero. Withholding features for more expensive versions of the same controller is not a good look. - This is a personal preference, but the controller is slightly smaller than the ergonomics of a Xbox controller. and I prefer the slight difference I have with the Gamesir Cyclone 2. Overall, despite the minor cons, this is the best performing controller on the market and you can't go wrong using it.

I’ve been really impressed with the GameSir G7 Pro. From the moment I picked it up, it felt solid and comfortable in my hands — the kind of controller you can use for hours without fatigue. The ergonomic grip and swappable faceplates make it feel like mine, not just another generic pad. What I love most is the responsiveness. The 1000Hz polling rate and Hall Effect triggers give me precise control, whether I’m playing fast-paced shooters or more methodical games. Every input feels instant, and the mechanical buttons have a satisfying click that makes gameplay sharper. It’s also versatile. I can use it seamlessly across Xbox and PC, which fits perfectly with how I game. The fact that it delivers this level of performance at a price far below the Elite Series 2 makes it feel like a smart purchase — I get pro-level features without breaking the bank.

Coming from the xbox elite series 2, which stopped working after a year, this is a huge upgrade. Its a little smaller than an xbox controller, but still comfortable. The d-pad is hard to use, but the extra buttons are great.

Excellent controller it performs better than most if not all high end more expensive products from scuf/razer/microsoft. The feel and function is top notch and whether you choose to use the online software to make adjustments to the controller or the onboard (extremely easy to use) functions to remap buttons the controller is a top tier experience at a fantastic price point. There has been zero issues with connectivity or syncing which I have frequently experienced with Razer and scuf models. The 3.5 mm audio port works splendidly and even includes a tiny mute button. Don’t waste money on other brands—especially if you are a pc gamer who likes controllers sometimes. This model works on Xbox but only wired. I will be buying the version that works wirelessly when it is available at Best Buy.

I’ve been gaming with the GameSir G7 Pro for a few weeks now, and I’m genuinely impressed with how it performs — especially for the price. Right out of the box you can feel the premium build quality in your hands, with textured grips that sit comfortably even during long sessions. The tri-mode connectivity is super convenient — whether I’m gaming on PC, Xbox (wired), or Android, it switches seamlessly. I also love the fact that I experience no stick drift while playing.

This controller is great, comfortable, doesn't get all gross, and it does everything as it says on the box. Only complaints are that the pause and select buttons are positions slightly differently, and lack of wireless connectivity directly to my Xbox Series X. The face plate comes off so cleaning will be easy when necessary. The sticks and triggers are super responsive.

I rarely write reviews, but I feel compelled here to do so. This controller is very good. I am primarily a mouse & keyboard player. Yes, I am a PC gamer. I bought this to replace an Xbox Elite Series 2, the expensive one. That one suffered "left shoulder button" failure, which seems to be somewhat of a common issue. Back to this guy, the GameSir. It feels of quality. It has proper heft to it. The software is proper. The buttons feel very, very good, well, most them. I did tons of research. This controller never got stellar reviews. The complaint was always the same, the "D-pad." The complaint being that it is too sensitive. I find those complaints most valid. There is absolutely no resistance to it. If you breath too hard on it, it will acutuate. Kidding of course. Some say that you can re-map to the back buttons. Of course that means that you will lose two buttons. My second complaint. The buttons under the controller are very tactile, and they feel good. I never use them. My former controller had 4. In this case I feel the placement is off. I press them all the time. So basically, if you use the "D-pad" frequently in games, avoid this one. I'm giving it four stars because everything else about it is fantastic. Maybe they can fix this with software fixes. I hope so.
