Posted .Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear your Garmin Dash Cam 20 froze. If your Dash Cam 20 freezes again I would encourage to perform a soft reset to quickly power your device off and on. The soft reset steps below.
1. connect the device to a power source
2. press and hold down the power button for 10 seconds
Also, we would encourage you to also update the software on your Dash Cam 20, if an update is available. Please visit www.garmin.com/express to download and install Garmin Express to a compatible operating system on your/a computer. Once installed the program will prompt you through the steps to update the software.

Pretty straight forward.The only things I dont like is the attachment bracket is (again) the size of the camera. The other thing is the power cord should be about 20" longer. The way it came I had to purchase the longer cord for an additional $25.00

Simple, Plug & Play Device

It takes good quality video and is plug & play. Literally take it out of the box and plug it in. The device automatically starts recording when the vehicle turns on and turns off when the vehicle is turned off (unless you hit cancel and then it relies on the battery#. I heard a complaint about this, however, I find this the most useful way to use the device; so you can forget about it. Check all the stores that Best Buy price matches so you can get the best price #I got for $199) and then bought a 32 Gb card elsewhere for @ $13.99. The cable does hang down and I'm undecided if I will purchase the 5m cable to that I can have it hidden. Good price and when needed, it will pay for itself the first time. Overall, very satisfied with the product & Best Buy in this transaction.

Posted .As long as the dash cam is plugged in to a power source, whenever it is on, it should be recording. False accident indications (harsh or sudden braking, etc.) can cause the device to mark areas where an accident may have occurred, and the device will not record over that information on the next loop. Size and quality of the installed microSD card will affect recording time and reliability. If your Dash Cam 20 is still not recording, we would recommend that you complete a soft reset. To perform a soft reset press and hold down the power button for 10 seconds.
Once you have completed a soft reset, please ensure your Dash Cam 20 has the most current version of software by using Garmin Express. Garmin Express can be downloaded and installed to a compatible computer by visiting www.garmin.com/express.
Also, we recommend that you use a 32GB microSD card or smaller, in the event you are using a larger memory microSD card.
