One of the best dashcams I’ve used. The Garmin 47 dashcam is a compact, reliable device that delivers excellent video quality for its size. Accessing the recorded videos with the app is seamless and its compact design doesn’t obstruct the view. Overall, it’s a solid choice for daily driving and peace of mind.

I like the size of the device. The Bluetooth connection to the phone works great to see videos. I also like the voice commands to save videos or pictues. Relatively simple to use

Dash cam is pretty reliable when it comes to recording events while driving and parked. It is good enough for me as it would be good enough quality for insurance purposes but unfortunately the quality is not good for seeing license plates clear most of the time. Overall it’s a pretty good product as it has a secret feature which detects a certain camera when crossing an intersection, it’s also super user friendly so it’s to use/ figure out. One last note, it is a far superior product comparing to Ring dash cam, has the more features than Ring, is cheaper and better built.

I like Garmin. I have an exercise tracker from them as well. This was easy to set up. The app was easy to set up to use with two phones. The video quality is fine. To use wifi though, it has to be close enough to building to pick it up, which is tricky for me since I live in a townhome and parking is too far from my house. I wanted to be able to track the device when away from it, but I don’t think it’s able to do that and only uses the GPS to stamp the videos not to tell where the camera is. It is a bit expensive compared to some others, but I do like how compact it is and how easy it was to set up.

Great field of vision and good night time clarity. My only gripe is that none of the resolution settings seem to capture license plates clearly, which would be helpful in some cases. Audio clarity is phenomenal too if you choose to record cabin noise. This is a great device for event captures but I’d recommend reading the license plate out loud while you have it save the clip because chances you won’t be able to read it off of the video.

I travel a lot and needed something that was small and out of the way, but recorded my travels in case of accident. Videos/pictures are clear and device is easy to use.

Easy to set up and use. The collision detector worked perfectly although some speed strips would set it off. My problem was it didn’t work with iPhones. I kept waiting for an update to fix that but to no avail. I think the only solution was to subscribe to the service. My other issue is 1080p is not great quality when it comes to dash and in general. It was decent but I would opt for a 4K quality at minimum.

Such an easy setup and it took less than 15 minutes to set the camera and app up. The camera alerts when you cross over a lane line, traffic moves, or when you get too close to the car in front of you. The camera also allows you to see traffic cameras. With a click of a button or with voice commands you can easily save a moment where something happened. I have captured car crashes and was able to quickly download the footage so both victims could have it for insurance. I love this camera so much, I ended up buying one for my dad for Christmas.

Good camera, very tiny, easy to install and set up, good app. Video quality is decent, not the best but it is also a more affordable camera.

Got this as a replacement dash cam for my vehicle. Easy to setup. Picture quality in both day and night views is very clear. I don’t utilize recording audio so I have no feedback on the quality. Camera connection to my iphone via the garmin app is fairly quick. Settings and features are easy to understand and set preferences. Will definitely keep Garmin at the top of my list for future dashcam purchases.

After I had my first crash and wanted to have a dash cam like this. it also comes with SD card and I didnt need to buy a SD card. Easy to install and 140 degrees of view is quite enough what is going on infront of you. I think this is one the most useful product I have ever bought until now. I bought it when it is on sale.

I purchased this and installed it in my vehicle myself. It was an easy installation. On 02/28/2022 my vehicle was hit by a kid darting out of their driveway and struck my vehicle. The mother of the kid was implying that I was speeding and when the video was shown to the cop and sent to my insurance there was no need for explanation. Money well spent and no regret. I love Garmin products and I trust them.

The heavy increase in our traffic is what prompted me to buy this Dash Cam. Every day there are several accidents in our area and I felt it was time to invest in a Dash Cam. The unit I bought is the Garmin Dash Cam 47. Great little camera, has all the features I need and it works great. I highly recommend it.

Amazing dash cam. It’s small and doesn’t obstruct my view but the camera records the entire forward facing field of view. It recorded an accident and was able to show police immediately at the scene the footage. I was able to share the video with insurance and since it was a Christmas present for my teenager I was able to see his accident and review with him safer driving tips.

I have installed this model on two of my vehicles and it functions as expected. The safety alerts are a nice feature, although they tend to be overly sensitive by default. I would suggest making adjustments to suit your preferences. The video quality is good, and the compact size of the device makes it less obtrusive on the windshield.

Garmin is a very trusted name! Did a bunch of research and originally bought a Nexar that recorded on my iPhone but made it run VERY HOT and killed the battery even while plugged in. Went to BestBuy and Garmin was recommended and it works fine. Can't get too excited about a dashcam, but this is very small and so far does it's job for the money.

I love this camera! I was in an bad accident on 8/13/22 and it captured everything automatically (15 seconds before and 15 seconds after the accident). I downloaded the app and was able to pull the video instantly with no problems. This is a reputable brand and great quality for the price!
