Not worth it for the price. Definitely cannot read the plates unless you are super close to that vehicle like bumper to bumper.

License plates are not always able to be read however, identifying a vehicle that you may be involved in an incident with is typically done easily with the footage. The Dash Cam 67w records in resolution up to 1440p HD. Make sure the resolution setting is at the highest quality and you are using a high end SD card for best video recording.

I believe it operates on a 2.4 ghz band that interferes with the signal coming from your phone that goes to your gps, I could be wrong. Doesn't always load the image and lags a lot. Nice idea but will be returning.
