First of all, it's very discreet, you can't even tell you have a dash cam. Second, it does very well in the heat on high temperatures. Third, the app works just great! You can live stream what you see, save videos or even play your videos while your moving. Hands down recommend it. I hope anybody considering it has the same experience as I do. (:

The msg rec'd was "not supported" so swapped it out to put in newer car. Once I moved it to the newer car it was no issues getting it set up on the app

The resolution is good as is the coverage. You can get a mini SD card with enough memory ( 32 or 64 megs works for me) to record for many days without overwriting. The phone app accesses the camera to review and download your recordings. It does the job.

I have 5 other Garmin Dash Cams and they are right where you need them even when your vehicle is parked, in motion, or at the dealership getting serviced. Saved me more than once because you can't argue footage.

My main use was for the parking mode, sometimes it was activated by noises like the train or birds, it didn't bother me but the movement sensor (the important thing) didn't work properly, you literally have to shake/push the car in order to activate it, it didn't record when someone made a big dent in my car while it was parking and I'm pretty sure it moved the car, not enough for the camera tho. The app is a joke, sometimes I had to restart the dashcam to connect it, it's really laborious to see the videos in the app, sometimes it wasn't able to load the 30 seconds videos. The resolution is the worse, you can't see any plates even if the car is close.
