I have several other Garmin dash cams with screen and they have been hardwired to detect motion when car parked. Thought the screen was unnecessary, but given the fact that these write over older videos when full and have to therefore keep up with "housekeeping," it becomes a pain in the butt if your car uses WIFI/bluetooth for your phone, as you have to connect to camera to manage.

The mini 2 was a great purchase! Great value for the price. No problems yet.

I love that I get all the features I wanted in such a small camera.

This particular Garmin "Dash Cam Mini 2" is great. It's very small, unobtrusive, and "hides" in just behind our rear view mirror. I used the Dongar Technologies Dash Cam Power Adapter. This adapter plugs into your "auto-dimming" rear view mirror. The camera then plugs into the back of the adapter. Great video. Exactly what I was looking for. Look for sales.

The camera is pretty good. Great quality in a tiny package.

The noise it makes when turning on an off is really annoying, I cannot find an option to disable the noise. I liked my original Dash Cam Mini that was silent and functional. Otherwise, it seems good so far, hopefully it will an improvement from my Dash Cam Mini. I reused the mount from my Dash Cam Mini and the wire without issue. Still hides nicely behind my rearview mirror.

Has worked well as a reverse camera for a 2012 Honda Odyssey. I'm sure I could find a reverse camera to install and put in a permanent screen instead of using the phone, but this will do in the short term. The only issue is that I can't find where to flip the image horizontally. I hope Garmin fixes this in the app soon. The small size is unobtrusive. Got it on sale for $110 so win!

It’s very sensitive to the power. Even with its own cable and plug sometime it doesn’t start. I figured it might be due to low voltage of your car battery. Because after I bought brand new battery this is almost no issue anymore, BUT from time to time it still doesn’t run. Less often, but now it’s just doesn’t make sense, as car battery is brand new and car isn’t old - 2018 RAV4. So I’d say it’s probably too sensitive. Still looking nice dash camera though

I got the camera on sale for $100 and its probably the best one I've ever used. The video and picture quality is very clear. It is small where my passengers doesnt even notice it

Best mini dash cam ever! I added it as add one to my current 4k dash cam

It was great for a bit however it is difficult to pair to the app. Even had to buy a separate mini sd card cause the one I had didn’t work. Trying to export video from the app to phone the other day is making it hard without restarting my phone.

I have had this for over a year and it has come in use quite a few times. Just say "okay garmin" and "save video" for it to save a video. Plus it automatically saves a video if you have to brake really hard or if there is an accident.

Video quality is very good, easy to use and set up.

For the price this a good cam, but it has its flaws. My phone has a hard time connecting to it. I can't see to pull videos of the cam from the phone itself over wifi so I use a MicroSD card reader that has USB-C so I pull the card out of the cam and plug it in to my phone to view the videos. I use this cam mounted on my rear window while I have the Garmin Dash Cam 47 for my front window.
