Works well and records flawlessly. Ive never had a dash cam before but people seem to be getting worse on the roads and I am all about the documentation. The only thing I would change would be having the ability to see the video without having the car on. Has plenty of cord so it's easy to hide the cords. Easy to install!

Like the size and simplicity of the camera. Could not get it to reliably sync with phone and returned it.

It does everything it should. The functionality of viewing videos is a major pain if you don’t own a computer. I haven’t found a way to watch videos on my phone off the device, even when linked.

I know Garmin builds products like an ancient goverment contractor (see their avionics and DO-254 and DO-178) and the Mini 2 has all the hallmarks of a great idea that met “boomer systems engineering hell”… I’m sure they spent most of their budget on requirments and didn’t really think about what work truly needs to be done. The connections are finicky and I’m always skeptical if this is actually recording or not.

I like the size of it. I also did not want one with a screen which was a plus. It would not connect to the wifi. I tried to contact Garmin and they were no help

This particular Garmin "Dash Cam Mini 2" is great. It's very small, unobtrusive, and "hides" in just behind our rear view mirror. I used the Dongar Technologies Dash Cam Power Adapter. This adapter plugs into your "auto-dimming" rear view mirror. The camera then plugs into the back of the adapter. Great video. Exactly what I was looking for. Look for sales.

The noise it makes when turning on an off is really annoying, I cannot find an option to disable the noise. I liked my original Dash Cam Mini that was silent and functional. Otherwise, it seems good so far, hopefully it will an improvement from my Dash Cam Mini. I reused the mount from my Dash Cam Mini and the wire without issue. Still hides nicely behind my rearview mirror.

I have several other Garmin dash cams with screen and they have been hardwired to detect motion when car parked. Thought the screen was unnecessary, but given the fact that these write over older videos when full and have to therefore keep up with "housekeeping," it becomes a pain in the butt if your car uses WIFI/bluetooth for your phone, as you have to connect to camera to manage.

The product works great.. when it pairs to your app. I had this mini 2 app downloaded and paired with my unit. Everything worked great until one day it wasn't paired. Very frustrating to pair it back when my Bluetooth had everything showing as it had been paired. After 30 mins of troubleshooting, I had this fixed up. I really enjoy this and find it will be very helpful if I need to save and use a video. Just make sure everything is paired periodically!
